Atley's Journal

Atley ate oatmeal and most of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast.  For lunch she ate several bites of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, tomatoes, and green beans.  She ate whole wheat dinner roll and her apricots.  The three table girls were having another "discussion" about signal lights at lunch time.  The big dilemma: Which light means "go backwards?"  "Pink or Blue!?!"  :)  The thing about 3 year olds arguing is they'll frequently switch their positions in the middle of it all!! First picture: This is from outside yesterday afternoon.  Atley said she was a "police officer."  She told Nora, "I'm gonna pull you over!"  That made me laugh because she knew the terminology!!  So I decided it was from riding with her Papa!!  :) Next two pictures: After waving at Momma Megan Atley and Linnea were being silly at the window!  It was pretty funny and I love how Atley can make everyone laugh!  She was making me laugh...

Atley ate French toast and dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate several bites of ground beef with marinara sauce, along with several bites of whole wheat spaghetti noodles, ate her cauliflower, and bites of fruit salad. This first picture is leftover from outside yesterday afternoon.  The kids had a blast "painting" the sidewalk with water.  Love the dollar store for toys like this that won't last long anyhow!!  I also love group pictures where I can post the same thing in everyone's Blog!  haha!  Next picture: Well look here; another group picture!!  :)  Lauralea was singing, "Spin around in a circle" and the kids were having a blast!!  (The song includes many other motions besides just spinning!!)  Atley was actually the first one to listen to what Lauralea was singing and just started following along by doing what the song said.  Then the others joined her.  The girl loves her music.  (Notice how her right le...

Atley ate two servings of whole wheat toast and ate mangoes for breakfast.  For lunch she two servings of pulled pork, ate whole wheat dinner roll, two servings of peas, and ate strawberries.  Breakfast conversation was hilarious:  Avi said, "Gary, can I have more bread?"  Atley said, "No, it's toast." Avi, "It's bread."  Atley, "It's toast."  Four or five times of this and Atley immediately turned to Nora and said, "It's bread."  LOL!  Nora said, "No it's toast." Atley said, "No, it's bread."  And that went on for five or six more times.  :) Nora said, "I have a hangnail."  Atley said, "Can I take it off!?"  Haha!  Nora said, "No!!"  Atley seemed disappointed (ha) and asked, "Why!?!?"  Nora said, "Cause I want Gary to cut it!"  Haha! Atley ate whole wheat bagel and ate grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate shrimp, a large serving of brown rice, bite of stir fry vegetables, and ate raspberries.  At the lunch table Nora, Avi, and Atley were talking about all the things "we DON'T eat."  Now that can be a long list and they named several!  Haha!  Example: "We don't eat tissues!"  "We don't eat beetles."  "We don't eat towels."  Ha! Atley said, "That'd be silly!" Atley had a great morning as did all of the kids.  Everyone was happy to be back and we had lots of fun.  I didn't see any of the fatigue you were concerned about Momma Megan.  It's crazy how they can get a second wind and keep going strong when joined by other kids. I've been doing some remodeling in the Daycare Room and I've taken out the step in front of the big window.  (Which we're gonna use for a balance beam in the yard.)  I have two little yellow benches tha...

Atley ate whole wheat bran cereal and two servings of raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate several bites of baked beef kabobs with meat, zucchini, pineapple, and peppers.  She also ate a large serving of brown rice and ate pineapple on the side.  Atley was rearranging her chair (that's what it looked like to me) at lunch time and she said to herself, "Silly Atley, don't screw around!!"  Haha! Breakfast conversation this morning:  Atley said, "You forgot to turn the pictures on!!"  (The digital pictures at the table.)  Atley said, "You're a goofball!"  Haha!  Boy did Nora and Avi respond immediately in my defense!!  "No he's not!!  No he's not!!  No he's not!!"  It was pretty funny! Atley ate two servings of waffles and ate fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of shepherd's pie with meat, green beans, carrots, and potatoes.  She also ate bites of whole wheat tortillas and ate her cherries.  The three girls at the meal table were arguing about who's a "mess maker" and who isn't!  All of them were claiming innocence of course.  (Atley is actually the least messy of the crew!)  They went on and on and finally Avi said, "Let's drop the mess maker!"  I asked, "Where did you hear the 'let's drop it' phrase!?"  Avi said, "Lauralea."  Ha!  Later Atley said, "At lunch let's talk about halloween stuff!!" Atley ate French toast and two servings of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of "Whole 30 chili" with meat, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, tomato sauce, and peppers.  She ate her whole wheat dinner roll, and she ate tropical fruit. First picture:  Well this is more about Nora, but Atley was directly involved too!  These four were waiting to wave bye to Nora's Momma Emily.  (Did you notice Avi is as tall as Atley?  Haha! Check it out!)  Atley was in the bathroom when Nora arrived and Nora was freaking out that Atley was gonna miss waving good bye.  I said, "Here she comes!"  Except I was referring to Atley!!!  Nora thought I meant her Momma was coming around the corner and she freaked out more because Atley was NOT at the window yet.  Oh man!  By the time I took this picture poor Nora was a wreak!!  (It all ended well, Atley was there before Momma arrived, but the trauma and drama had already taken place!!) ...

Atley ate whole wheat English muffin and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of pork chop, ate whole wheat toast, half of beets, and ate applesauce.  At the breakfast table Atley did two or three really  loud  burps and Avi said, "Say excuse me!!"  Atley said, "no."  And Avi repeated it again.  Finally Atley said, "Excuse me!"  Avi said, "Now say it again!  You burped two times!!"  Haha! First picture: Atley's Momma Megan, Atley, and Linnea frequently do a "girls hug" in the morning. Well today Avi and Svea were here early enough to be a part of it.  Avi, of course, was all over that!  Svea, on the other hand, was more than happy to just watch!  :)  Svea had several invitations, but that's as close as she got.  Do you see Linnea?  Kind of squished on the right side.  (And she doesn't mind the squished part at all!!) Atley ate whole wheat Chex cereal and two servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, whole wheat hamburger bun, no cucumber, and bites of oranges.  At breakfast table Atley said, "When we done with breakfast we play a lot, and then we have lunch, then we sleep, then we have snack."  Haha!  She's got all the meal times covered and nailed down!! NOTICE:  I just want to remind everyone that Little Treasures will be closed  Monday the 27th  for Memorial Day!  (That's next Monday!)  And I may as well start reminding you now of the following closure dates: Those will be my yearly days off in Summer.   July 4 - July 12  this year.  (July 4 is on a Thursday.) Avi was in the preschool area and sneezed and Atley was around the corner, couldn't see Avi, but sweetly said, "Bless You!"  Avi got mad, went to the gate, and with a big attitude loudly yelled, "Atley!!  I was gonna say Bless You to myself!!"...

Atley did not have any oatmeal and ate bites of dried cranberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of hamburger and sausage pizza with whole wheat pizza crust, meat, olives, pineapple, peppers, and tomato sauce.  She also ate bites of pineapple on the side. Atley was drawing a picture and I asked her about the picture.  She said, "It's an airplane for my Mommy!"  Oh!  So I asked, "Does your Mom like airplanes?"  I guess that was pretty much irrelevant because she said, "I like airplanes!"  (And that's all that matters!)  Haha! I like this next picture of the kids waving bye to Momma Molly.  First there are the matching dresses of the Nelson girls!!  Very cute.  Then I thought it was funny because this picture makes it appear like Svea was the only one waving!  Ha.  Most of the time that Molly was parked there it was just the opposite!!  Everyone was waving except for Svea.  :) A couple more picture...

Atley ate two servings of whole wheat English muffin and two servings of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of chicken, bites of brown rice, no stir fry vegetables, and no oranges. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon when they were using chalk on the sidewalk.  Linnea followed Atley around; wherever Atley wanted to color, that's where Linnea wanted to color too!  Thank you Atley for letting Linnea tag along with you!  You are very sweet to the smaller people!! Next picture: Atley was focused and working hard at building with the legos.  What are you making Atley?  She said, "It's a house sail boat!"  Ha!  A combination - a houseboat that sails! This last picture is similar to the "exercising" picture from a few days ago.  Except Avi joined in this time; she's on the left and Atley is in the middle.

Atley ate most of cheerios and ate banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of ground beef, ate whole wheat pita bread, olives, bite of tomato, bites of avocado, and ate strawberries. First picture: Left over from Friday afternoon, but I had to keep it and Post it today!!  The kids always take the clothes off the dolls and this is the result!  Haha!  Anyhow if you look close you can see an autograph on the doll's butt.  Atley saw that and said, "He's got a bum bum with a note on it! That's silly!"  LOL!  Cracked me up!  Yes he does Atley and you're so right!  And it seems like a good portion of our population has a note on their bum bum that they like to display!  Haha! Atley ate most of oatmeal and raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate salmon, whole wheat dinner roll, cauliflower, and half of her mangoes. Yesterday afternoon Avi and Svea's Grandpa and Grandma picked them up and Atley asked Grandpa, "What's your name?"  He said, "I'm Mark."  Atley said,"Hi Mark."  This morning we had a representative from Child Care Resources drop off an appreciation "thing" and Atley handled it the same way; "What's your name?"  "Nikki."  "Hi Nikki."  She does that better than many adults!!  :)  Totally natural and comfortable with it!!  (I'm not disrespecting uncomfortable introverts!! Ha! Just looking at the contrast!!) Atley ate bites of whole wheat English muffins and one bite of oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of ground beef, ate whole wheat elbow noodles, most of peas, and two servings of applesauce. First picture; Atley started doing this on the floor while a couple others were finishing breakfast.  Svea joined her first and then it's Linnea in this picture!!  How cute is that?!?  Atley said, "I am doing exercising."  Then she added, "Do it like this Svea!!"  Haha!  Synchronized exercising!! Atley was taking turns with Nora pushing Callahan in the stroller while I heated up his bottle.  Thank you girls for your help!!  Atley asked Callahan, "Do you want to go for another ride?"  No answer of course!!  Atley continued; "Yes or No!?!"  Haha! These first two pictures are from yesterday afternoon.  Atley and Linnea were playing a game that was a cross between hide-n-seek and peek-a-boo!  Linnea was running to the window and saying, "ready" and running back to the dress-up rack and "finding" Atley peeking through at her.  They were laughing so hard and did this game over and over for at least 15 minutes.  Atley really likes Linnea and I especially see it when I'm changing Linnea's poopy diaper.  Linnea is very uncomfortable with the poopy cleanup and she frequently fusses.  Atley always comes over and rubs her head or gets her a toy for comfort.  Very sweet.
