Atley ate oatmeal and no apple bites for breakfast.  For lunch she ate several bites of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, and tomatoes.  She ate dinner roll and several bites of apricots. First I want to remind everyone that Little Treasures will be closed Monday, New Years Day and back open on Tuesday.  Also, I'll email your January invoices this weekend.  Happy New Year to all of Atley's Family and whoever reads her Blogs.  :) Atley was here for quite awhile and then Avi was the next one to come.  Atley was so happy to see her and she was loudly enthusiastic!!  :)  They ran ran ran and then jumped jumped jumped!  Prior to me taking this first picture they were at the big gate sitting on pillows watching me prep oatmeal and then I asked them is they could see Lauralea.  It was cute how they both leaned over and looked under the gate at the same time.  (They were looking down the hall.) We read lots of books, w...

Atley ate two servings of french toast (thanks to the syrup) and a bite or two of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pulled pork, whole wheat toast, half of her peas, and no watermelon. In the first picture (taken yesterday afternoon) Atley was pushing Nora pretty fast in the chair and they were having a grand time.  They stopped and were going to do a head bump and this picture was timed perfectly because they bonked a bit too hard.  A second later and they were not nearly as happy as the picture shows.  But they were soon repaired, fixed-up, and back on the road!  :) The kids love banging and thumping on the window when they spot the mailman doing his thing.  He occasionally waves at them and today was one of those days.  He brought a package to the door and they were banging away on the window and he said, "No one can sneak up on you during the day!" Avi and Atley were having fun doing their running back-n-forth from the gate to t...

Atley ate most of whole wheat toast and ate mangoes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of ground beef with marinara sauce on whole wheat spaghetti noodles, ate most of squash, and ate her fruit salad. Yesterday afternoon Atley spotted a crow flying by and said, "More more more..."  At the same time she's making the sign for "more."  Haha!  That made me laugh.  Sorry, but there is only one bird at the moment! Also, this first picture is from yesterday afternoon.  Atley and Avilene were sticking their faces in the "sinks."  These are little stainless steel bowls that I used for the sinks and I think this started because they can see their reflection in the bowls.  And then they were both sticking their faces all the way in there!  Speaking of Avi and Atley, they picked up this morning right where they left off yesterday.  Running back and forth across the room; from the gate to the mirror over and over. Yesterday there were onl...

Atley ate half of her whole wheat bagel and ate two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate two servings of shrimp, ate brown rice, couple bites of stir fry vegetables, and ate raspberries.  I'm starting to have Atley sit at the table for meals.  The key for transitioning them to the table is whether or not they'll listen and follow instructions.  She's been doing pretty well with that and she also did well at the table today with breakfast and lunch.  For example: "We only eat the food on our plates!"  Ha!  I've previously had her do a few snacks at the table because the snacks are generally less messy. When it was time to wave "bye" to Mommy at the window Atley was teasing and staying on the mattress.  I said, "Come wave at Mommy," and she just ran and dove face-first on the mattress.  Silly girl.   So I started tapping and thumping on the window and she couldn't resist coming and looking.  Curiosity!!  Gotcha...

Atley ate waffle and bites of fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a few bites of shepherds pie with hamburger, green beans, carrots, and potatoes.  She ate whole grain tortillas and most of her of her cherries. I want to wish all of Atley's family a Merry Christmas!  She's a wonderful little girl, I love her a ton, and I'm thankful to be a part of her life and your life.!  :)  Little Treasures is closed Friday - Monday. The next Blog will be on Tuesday the 26th. When I was changing Baby Linnea, Atley got some building blocks to stand on so she could see the Baby.  Isn't this a cute picture!?  Linnea was cooing and talking and Atley loved it.  At least that's what I'm assuming by the grinning and giggling!  :) Here's the story behind the picture: We'd been reading some Christmas books and the kitchen timer signaled me to turn on the oven.  When I came back out Hudson said, "We are being so patient!"  And they were!!...

Atley ate two servings of french toast and a bite of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of salmon loaf, ate dinner roll, squash, and bites of tropical fruit. Right after lunch Avi and Atley were trying a new trick and going backwards onto the mattress.  Silly kids!  Avi did it first and Atley immediately turned around and stepped off backwards!  This age group is so "monkey see monkey do!!" These first two pictures were taken while Nora and Atley were having so much fun!  Atley was dropping stuffed animals on Nora's head from behind the chair.  So I took a picture of the back view so you could see Atley at work!  They were laughing so hard.  I don't think I've ever heard Nora laugh quite that hard; very deep belly laughs.  So stinking cute. After Story Time the kids were looking at a book titled "I Spy."  I have some in almost every toy set and this one is a Christmas book.  You look at an object on one ...

Atley ate toasted whole wheat english muffin and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pork chops, whole wheat toast, several bites of roasted vegetables (sweet potatoes, potatoes, beets), and ate applesauce. When Atley was waving bye to Mommy this morning she had one of our toy microphones and was talking into it saying, "bye bye bye."  :) Nora was in the swivel/rocker chair first thing and Atley was pushing her fast.  They were both laughing so hard - it was adorable!  Atley wandered off so Hudson took over the pushing duties. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon when Kenzie and Riley were putting the animal suits on all the kids.  They were loving it and asked for the suits again this morning. Atley on the couch laughing like a silly girl! We did some Christmas stickers at Art Time and the kids had fun with that - even though Hudson would have preferred we do Dot Painting!  :)  Sometimes I will point to an ...

Atley ate chex cereal and peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, whole wheat hamburger bun, several bites of lettuce and tomatoes, ate avocado, and no oranges. Atley was playing on one side of the room with Nora.  Avi and Hudson were on the other side of the room.  The two groups were out-of-sight of each other.  Atley heard Avi starting to cry and she IMMEDIATELY yelled, " BUBBA !!"  (With a very accusatory tone!)  And went running over to check it out!  She was being protective of her friend Avi!    Five minutes later it was a repeat scenario.  I'd never heard or seen Atley do that before.  Super cute!  (By the way, Atley was right both times!!  Bubba!!  Be gentle to your friend Avi!!) The kids spotted the Mailman across the street at the mailboxes.  He'd gotten out of his little van to rearrange some mail and Avi said, "Mailman has snow boots!!"  The kids finally got his attention by ...

Atley ate oatmeal and dried cranberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate tilapia, whole wheat elbow noodles, one green bean, and ate applesauce. Baby Linnea's Dad (Eric) gets a kick out of Atley and her exuberance/enthusiasm!!  As soon as he walks in the door Atley starts in: "Hi! Hi! Hi!!!  Then some fist bumps.  Then "Bye! Bye! Bye!"  And it's a repeat in the evening of course.  I told him this morning that's pretty much how she rolls most of the day; happy little girl.  Her modus operandi is full speed ahead!!  I Love you so much Atley!!  She has her struggles like everyone, but she is one fun-loving kid!! In the first picture Nora was using some blocks for steps to get on the couch.  She can make it on the couch without the blocks, but she has to work hard. Atley joined her and used them too - which she obviously doesn't need. In the next picture Avi was building with the legos and Atley joined her for several minutes. ...

Atley ate whole wheat bagel and peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger pizza with whole wheat crust, tomato sauce, olives, peppers, mushrooms, and pineapple. This isn't just about Atley, but I think you'll like it.  At the breakfast table when everyone was just about done eating Avilene started whipping her head side-to-side really fast and furious - just being a goof and showing-off!  Nora and Atley were laughing hard of course and started doing the same thing, squealing louder every passing second!  I told Avi, "Hold your head still please."  Hudson never misses an opportunity to add his two cents worth, and he followed with this; "Or your ponytail will fall out!"  haha!  (The fact that Avi didn't have a ponytail was apparently irrelevant!) So we're hearing new words every day from Atley!  Very cool.  This morning shortly after she arrived she was playing in front of the igloo and randomly said, "tiger." What!?!  Surpr...

Atley ate two servings of whole wheat toast and ate grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole grain tortillas, no vegetables (carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes), and ate her mixed fruit. Atley had a great morning with lots of activity and she started by getting a high speed ride in the swivel/rocker with Hudson - Avi was the power behind it!!  :)  Then Avi and Atley were working side-by-side building with the legos.  Avi said, "See my tower Gary." Like Mommy Megan and I were talking about Atley is starting to say lots of words.  As soon as we were done reading Stories Atley took off toward the gate saying, "color color color color color...."  Little Miss Routine knows what usually happens next!  Art time.  It took me a couple seconds to realize what she was saying, but that was pretty cool.  Nice job Atley! I took this next picture of them waiting at the gate with their paint shirts on!  Come ...

Atley ate bites of toasted whole wheat english muffin and ate dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites and nibbles of chicken with stir fry vegetables, ate a large serving of brown rice, and a bite or two of oranges. Atley and Hudson were playing a two year old's version of "chase" and it's mostly just running around the room together and laughing and squealing.  It was about that same time when I took this first picture and Atley was looking at the ceiling fan.  Cracked me up!!  I thought she did pretty good just to stay upright!!  Ha! I was just laying Atley on the changing table when she heard an airplane and of course decided to yell hello at it!!  Whew!!  That was loud; right in my ear.  And my hearing aids are working just fine, thank you!  :)  Then after Hudson had came out from going potty Atley was looking at his underwear and spotted some cars on them.  "car, car, car."  Good job Atley. Here's an "...

Atley ate cheerios and bite of banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, whole grain pita bread, no tomato, ate olives, avocado, and half of watermelon serving.  Well we have a visitor today; Reid is here all day and we are having a blast.  (At least I've been thoroughly entertained!!)  For example; here's a note from breakfast, not about Atley, but I think you'll like it.  At the breakfast table Reid was watching Nora eat her cheerios and said, "OH MY GOSH!!  Look how much she put in her mouth at once!!"  LOL!  SO funny!  Speaking of funny; I remembered that cheerios did not settle well in Reid's tummy so I asked; "Do cheerios still give you stinky burps?"  He said, "Yes, rotten egg burps; but if you have chocolate ones?!"  LOL!  Haha!  I roared!  Nope, fresh out of those, but nice try!  :) Atley was excited when Nora (Nor Nor) arrived; "Nor Nor, Nor Nor!"  That nickname started back when Huds...

Atley ate brown rice and raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of salmon, most of whole wheat dinner roll, ate corn, and most of mangoes. Kenzie actually took this first picture, but I like how Nora was just watching Atley be her usual silly self.  These two kids play together and enjoy each other a lot, but they are so different!  Nora's "world view" may be slightly more serious minded than Atley's!!  Haha!  The picture says it best! Both of today's pictures show a pretty lighthearted side of Atley and I see so much of that here!!  She LOVES to laugh, be silly, and everything is hilarious to her.  Hmmm...maybe that's why I enjoy her so much.  :) All the kids were pretty sure I got the baby saucer down for everyone except the baby!  Haha!  Hudson said, "I want to sit in it."  This may not be the most flattering picture of baby Linnea, but she was in the middle of sneezing!  :)  Can't delete that!!

Atley ate most of whole wheat english muffin and a bite of oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate everything; ground beef, whole wheat elbow noodles, peas, and applesauce. Here's a picture of the Birthday Girl in her Birthday dress!!  So cute.  (She was on the balance beam getting ready to jump!)  Happy Birthday to sweet Atley.  Hard to believe how fast it all goes!  Even though I didn't have an infant opening when she was a newborn I am so thankful to have her in my program now!  She is a complete joy, fun-loving, and a very unique special little girl.  I sure love Atley and I have so much fun taking care of her! Here's a picture of Atley talking to Baby Linnea.  All the kids love the new baby and it's so sweet. The baby managed to grasp Nora's sleeve.  And of course a baby has a tight grip!  Nora kind of struggled to pull away and it totally surprised her.  Ha!  When I put the baby down for her morning nap Atley...

Atley ate two servings of french toast and maybe a couple bites of strawberries.  For lunch she ate a couple bites of paleo stew with hamburger, carrots, green beans, sweet potatoes, and broccoli.  She ate saltines and maybe a bite of tropical fruit too. By the way Momma, Atley took off her tutu shortly after you left.  She said, "Oh oh" like it fell off or something!  Haha! Here's something funny Hudson said this morning - mostly about him, but he mentioned Atley.  Hudson asked, "Are you putting your hearing aids in your ears?"  Yup, that's what I"m doing.  He continued, "So you can hear yelling at breakfast?"  Haha!  What?  Who yells at breakfast?  Hudson said, "Atley!!"  Hahaha!!  Well she is kinda loud, but I wouldn't usually call it yelling!  :) I may as well tell you another Hudson story from this morning; He said, "I mixed Avi and Atley."  You mixed up their names?  "Yea, I called Atley, Avi. ...

Atley ate several bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate baked chicken, half of whole grain tortillas, most of cabbage salad mix (with ranch dressing), and bites of cinnamon baked apples. Atley and Nora arrived at the same time this morning and Nora snuggled in the chair with me for probably 15 minutes after waving bye to Mommy at the window.  Atley was working hard to entice Nora to come and play.  She went into the igloo and was peeking out at Nora and Nora was giggling.  It was so cute.  Nora eventually went and played, but she was enjoying the entertainment first! Atley always greets the parents and says bye to everyone!  This morning when Hudson's Dad was leaving Atley said, "Bye bye Colin."  His mouth dropped open and so did mine!  Haha!  So cute.  I asked her to say "Colin" three or four times this morning and she says His name quite plain! Atley was at the window waving at an airplane again today; just li...
