Atley - 12/26/2017
Atley ate half of her whole wheat bagel and ate two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate two servings of shrimp, ate brown rice, couple bites of stir fry vegetables, and ate raspberries. I'm starting to have Atley sit at the table for meals. The key for transitioning them to the table is whether or not they'll listen and follow instructions. She's been doing pretty well with that and she also did well at the table today with breakfast and lunch. For example: "We only eat the food on our plates!" Ha! I've previously had her do a few snacks at the table because the snacks are generally less messy.
When it was time to wave "bye" to Mommy at the window Atley was teasing and staying on the mattress. I said, "Come wave at Mommy," and she just ran and dove face-first on the mattress. Silly girl. So I started tapping and thumping on the window and she couldn't resist coming and looking. Curiosity!! Gotcha Atley! :)
Well there are only two kids here today and Atley was pretty excited when Avi showed up!! She yelled "Avi!!" And it sounded like "Owie!!" Avi said, "Jackson have owie!" Haha!! (Jackson is Avi's cousin and she talks about him all the time.)
We read lots of books, sang songs, and did some gluing at Art Time. Avi and Atley play together so nicely and it was lots of fun just to watch those two interact all morning. They only had one very minor squabble all morning and that was after lunch right before nap time. Atley grabbed both plastic food "knives" from Avi. I said, "Which knife do you want to give to Avi?" So she just handed Avi both knives. Ha. And that was it! The rest of the morning they were running back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. Then rolling, jumping, and standing on their heads on the mattress.
