Atley - 12/5/2017

Atley ate several bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate baked chicken, half of whole grain tortillas, most of cabbage salad mix (with ranch dressing), and bites of cinnamon baked apples.

Atley and Nora arrived at the same time this morning and Nora snuggled in the chair with me for probably 15 minutes after waving bye to Mommy at the window.  Atley was working hard to entice Nora to come and play.  She went into the igloo and was peeking out at Nora and Nora was giggling.  It was so cute.  Nora eventually went and played, but she was enjoying the entertainment first!

Atley always greets the parents and says bye to everyone!  This morning when Hudson's Dad was leaving Atley said, "Bye bye Colin."  His mouth dropped open and so did mine!  Haha!  So cute.  I asked her to say "Colin" three or four times this morning and she says His name quite plain!

Atley was at the window waving at an airplane again today; just like yesterday!  Ha!  (And the day before!)  Except this time Avi and Nora went right over to join her!  Atley's enthusiasm is contagious! So now they were all waving!  Avi said, "go to airport."

I took this first picture when we were playing with the camera and taking some selfies.  The kids were getting a kick out of looking at themselves on the camera screen.  We sang songs, read lots of books (including lots of Christmas books), and colored Christmas trees with markers at Art time.  Then I took the last picture just before nap time when Atley was talking to the Baby while waiting for her turn to get her diaper changed!

Atley ate whole wheat bagel and peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger pizza with whole wheat crust, tomato sauce, olives, peppers, mushrooms, and pineapple. This isn't just about Atley, but I think you'll like it.  At the breakfast table when everyone was just about done eating Avilene started whipping her head side-to-side really fast and furious - just being a goof and showing-off!  Nora and Atley were laughing hard of course and started doing the same thing, squealing louder every passing second!  I told Avi, "Hold your head still please."  Hudson never misses an opportunity to add his two cents worth, and he followed with this; "Or your ponytail will fall out!"  haha!  (The fact that Avi didn't have a ponytail was apparently irrelevant!) Atley ate whole wheat English muffin and mandarin oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate two servings of ground beef, two servings of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and applesauce. I'm not exactly sure what brought about the conversation about our "heart," but Atley informed everyone "I know when your heart breaks." Oh really, when is that? "When you're NOT in love." Then after a few moments she added; "When you die." :) Today was Science with Lauralea and the kids were super excited as always. The theme was "our tongue" and "taste buds." Lots of tasting today! As you can see in the first picture we had a partially completed (ha) diagram of the tongue and we briefly told the kids where their taste buds are located. Atley - 9/29/2017

Atley ate malt-o-meal cereal and a bite of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a bite or two of "beef kabobs" (beef, peppers, zucchini, mushrooms), ate whole wheat toast, and pineapple. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon.  Atley was squatted down in the middle of the sidewalk watching school kids walk home.  Avilene saw her squatting there and ran to join her.  Not too much to say about this picture except for the fact I think it's adorable!! In this next picture Hudson was holding a mirror in front of Atley's face and he said, "This is Atley."  Ha!  These are some new mirrors I got; one side magnifies and the other side distorts!  (Hey!  Just trying to start them off with a good self-image! Ha!)
