Atley's Journal

Atley ate three servings of waffles and ate fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pork roast, whole wheat tortillas, two bites of sweet potatoes, and ate cherries. These kids tattle on each other on a very regular basis.  Sometimes it happens over conflict and I'm trying to teach them some basic skills in regards to simple conflict.  Anyhow, they also tattle about playing with toys inappropriately, perceived bad choices,  and on and on and on.  Haha.  Today Avi said, "Gary!! Atley said Geez!! That's a Daddy Word!!"  Hahahaha!  Wow!  I didn't know Daddy got to have "special" words. What about "special" words for Grandpa too!?! These next two pictures are from yesterday afternoon and the girls were describing what they have built here.  "It's a Bird Park."  "It's a Playground behind the fence."  (The "fence" is the pieces in the long straight line.)  They they were pointing at buildings and saying thi...

Atley ate French toast and two servings of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of Whole 30 Chili with meat, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, peppers, and tomato sauce.  She ate whole wheat dinner roll, and ate tropical fruit.  Next picture: The four kids are waiting at the window to wave at Momma Molly.  Notice the person walking just to the right of Atley's arm.  It always makes me laugh when this happens; the kids always start thumping on the window before the Parent drives around the corner and the reactions of the pedestrians are funny to watch.  Some wave enthusiastically, others do a quick brief wave, some just do a quick glance, while others seem to walk faster.  Haha.  Second picture: Avi and Atley were playing with the Doll and Accessories, but this is what Atley would MUCH rather do; be silly with the accessories.  Haha.  This is pretty much the way she rolls!!  She's a very fun kid.  :) Next picture: This i...

Atley ate two servings of whole wheat English muffin and ate grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, two servings of whole wheat toast, ate beets, and applesauce.   First picture: This was the first thing Atley asked after waving bye to Momma Megan this morning.  "Can I play with the play dough?"  Well sure.  She really doesn't need help from me except I usually put a small amount of flour on the table to prevent sticking and then she likes me to spread it out to get started.    Next two pictures;  Atley and Avi doing some Preschool activities.  Atley obviously reading and Avi matching up pieces of several different kinds of workers.  Following picture: Avi was the primary one working on this new puzzle I recently purchased, but Atley stopped by a couple of times and asked if she could help.  It was a good challenge for them; 48 piece puzzle and Avi stuck with it and finished.   Next picture:  This was a really c...

Atley ate two servings of whole grain Chex cereal and ate peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of ground beef, ate whole wheat hamburger bun, bite of tomatoes, bite of avocado, and ate mandarin oranges.  First picture: This is shortly after Atley arrived and Coral was doing last minute packing before Lauralea took her to the airport.  And of course Atley is sitting at the top of the stairs trying to watch the activity. Atley ate two servings of whole wheat toast and ate grapes for breakfast.  Moments before breakfast she said, "Gary, I eat at home so I don't want breakfast."  "What!?! No toast or grapes?!?"  She said, "Actually that does sound good."  Haha.  For lunch she ate a couple bites of pork roast, ate bread, most of carrots, and ate her mixed fruit.  This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon and Atley was the only one here for snack; and she was taking a few liberties with hat and sunglasses at the snack table.  Haha.  I think this is a super cute picture! Atley ate two servings of whole wheat English muffin and ate dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of chicken, ate brown rice, bite of stir fry vegetables, and ate mandarin oranges.  Breakfast conversation: Atley asked, "Hey Gary; you your Grandpa with Gideon?"  (Love the phrasing!)  Yup, I'm Gideon's Grandpa.  Then Lauralea did something in the kitchen and Atley said, "Lauralea's a bit clumsy cooking today!"  Haha.  We got a big laugh out of that one! First thing this morning Atley said, "Alexa play Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer."  She said, "I love this song."  She followed that up with; "Alexa play Christmas songs."  Haha.  Then later she asked for "Fall out Boys."  Holy rip!  Where'd you learn about these guys?!?  She said, "From Avi."  LOL.  Sounds too much like punk rock for me.  :) This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon when Atley and Nora were building a "...

Atley ate cheerios and banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, whole wheat hamburger bun, tomatoes, two servings of olives, and three servings of watermelon. Atley brought a mermaid "thing" from home and of course Nora was wanting to play with it.  Atley said, "How about I play with it for a little bit and then you play with it for a little bit?"  Nora said,"No, that takes too long!"  (Translated; that takes too long and I want it right now!)  Haha. First picture: Playing with the doll house toys.  It was actually more fun putting doll house toys in Atley's shiny slippers.  Following picture: Atley is wrapping a blanket around a tower of blocks.
