Atley's Journal

Atley ate some kix cereal and her raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate salmon, bites of whole wheat dinner roll, ate cauliflower, and most of her mangoes.  Nora and Atley were having a conversation right before breakfast that went like this: "I'm going to boy's club," Atley said.  She frequently goes to "boys club" with her Daddy on Friday night.  Five or six of the fellows gather in a guy's garage, talk about cars and mechanical issues, work on cars, drink beer, eat snacks, and laugh at Atley.  (That's my interpretation Daddy Brad!  Haha!)  Nora asked, "What color is it?"  Haha!  Atley said, "Red."  Nora said, "It's a wedding."  LOL!  So I looked at Nora and asked her, "What did you say?"  Nora said, "Atley going to a wedding."  Oh man, you can't make this stuff up!!  Forget fiction stories!  This is WAY better!! Atley ate whole wheat English muffin and no oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, a large serving of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas and two servings of applesauce.  The lunch time discussion at the table was entertaining as usual!!  There was lots of talk about visiting each other homes, having birthday parties, halloween costumes, and how much candy they will get!  During the birthday discussion Avi pointed at Nora and said, "You will have to bring me a present!"  Haha! This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon when the kids were "painting" the sidewalk with rollers and brushes.  (Atley -  bottom right - which I guess is pretty obvious with her long hair hanging below her sun hat.)  Svea - top right - didn't do much painting, but rather she was wildly slinging water left, right, and up!!  Haha! Atley ate two servings of French toast and two servings of strawberries for breakfast.  Atley said "You're a nice boy."  I already knew the answer, but I asked, "Why am I a nice boy?"  She said, "You give me strawberries all the time."  Haha. Explanation for lunch: I neglected to put something in the fridge last evening so I couldn't serve it to the children.  So they got to eat "my" breakfast!  Here's the ingredients: Pork sausage (that we season ourselves from ground pork  without sugar !! yup, they put sugar in everything!!), scrambled eggs, hash browns, peppers, mushrooms, and spinach.  Nutritionally rich!!  :)  Atley ate half of that, ate crackers, and most of her tropical fruit. Atley ate two servings of waffle and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, half of whole wheat tortillas, ate corn, and baked cinnamon apples. I'm thankful Linnea's butt is healing up and how she's  not  crying during diaper change!!  Even Atley noticed it today!!  During diaper change Atley said, "Linnea is NOT crying!!"  Atley has been SO concerned about that for the past 2 weeks!! Atley ate some kix cereal and ate mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate turkey burger, whole wheat hamburger bun, no tomatoes, bite of avocado, and ate her cherries. I spotted a rabbit across the street by the mailboxes.  Nora was the first to come to the window and look at it and then everyone joined her.  It ran under a parked car and we waited a few minutes and it came out and it went to Big Willy's gate and hung out there for a couple of minutes.  Avi said, "He's trying to get in."  Then it sprinted across the street to everyone's delight!!  It was fun entertainment for the kids!! First picture: We did a toy, book, puzzle, and preschool exchange this weekend and the first thing Atley went for was this school bus.  She was singing, "Wheels on the bus go round and round." Atley ate oatmeal and most of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast.  For lunch she ate several bites of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, tomatoes, and green beans.  She ate whole wheat dinner roll and her apricots.  The three table girls were having another "discussion" about signal lights at lunch time.  The big dilemma: Which light means "go backwards?"  "Pink or Blue!?!"  :)  The thing about 3 year olds arguing is they'll frequently switch their positions in the middle of it all!! First picture: This is from outside yesterday afternoon.  Atley said she was a "police officer."  She told Nora, "I'm gonna pull you over!"  That made me laugh because she knew the terminology!!  So I decided it was from riding with her Papa!!  :) Next two pictures: After waving at Momma Megan Atley and Linnea were being silly at the window!  It was pretty funny and I love how Atley can make everyone laugh!  She was making me laugh...

Atley ate French toast and dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate several bites of ground beef with marinara sauce, along with several bites of whole wheat spaghetti noodles, ate her cauliflower, and bites of fruit salad. This first picture is leftover from outside yesterday afternoon.  The kids had a blast "painting" the sidewalk with water.  Love the dollar store for toys like this that won't last long anyhow!!  I also love group pictures where I can post the same thing in everyone's Blog!  haha!  Next picture: Well look here; another group picture!!  :)  Lauralea was singing, "Spin around in a circle" and the kids were having a blast!!  (The song includes many other motions besides just spinning!!)  Atley was actually the first one to listen to what Lauralea was singing and just started following along by doing what the song said.  Then the others joined her.  The girl loves her music.  (Notice how her right le...
