Atley - 6/7/2019

Atley ate some kix cereal and her raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate salmon, bites of whole wheat dinner roll, ate cauliflower, and most of her mangoes.  Nora and Atley were having a conversation right before breakfast that went like this: "I'm going to boy's club," Atley said.  She frequently goes to "boys club" with her Daddy on Friday night.  Five or six of the fellows gather in a guy's garage, talk about cars and mechanical issues, work on cars, drink beer, eat snacks, and laugh at Atley.  (That's my interpretation Daddy Brad!  Haha!)  Nora asked, "What color is it?"  Haha!  Atley said, "Red."  Nora said, "It's a wedding."  LOL!  So I looked at Nora and asked her, "What did you say?"  Nora said, "Atley going to a wedding."  Oh man, you can't make this stuff up!!  Forget fiction stories!  This is WAY better!!

First picture: Nothing attracts attention like the street sweeper!  They are pretty loud and we can hear them coming and the kids wait at the window.  This one didn't turn and come in front of the window, but the kids were still excited to see it!  Second picture: I got the saucer out for Callahan!?!  Something new and boy everyone was instantly messing with it.  So here's an 'aerial' view (standing on the blue balance beam) of all six kids at Little Treasures.  :)
 

Last picture: Atley doing a performance singing and acting like Atley!!  (The shirt over your head looks good Atley!!)  And she was singing loud!  Nora was yelling for her to stop; which only encouraged her to sing louder!  If you zoom in on Linnea's reflection in the mirror her face is super serious!  Haha!

Atley ate whole wheat bagel and peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger pizza with whole wheat crust, tomato sauce, olives, peppers, mushrooms, and pineapple. This isn't just about Atley, but I think you'll like it.  At the breakfast table when everyone was just about done eating Avilene started whipping her head side-to-side really fast and furious - just being a goof and showing-off!  Nora and Atley were laughing hard of course and started doing the same thing, squealing louder every passing second!  I told Avi, "Hold your head still please."  Hudson never misses an opportunity to add his two cents worth, and he followed with this; "Or your ponytail will fall out!"  haha!  (The fact that Avi didn't have a ponytail was apparently irrelevant!) Atley ate whole wheat English muffin and mandarin oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate two servings of ground beef, two servings of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and applesauce. I'm not exactly sure what brought about the conversation about our "heart," but Atley informed everyone "I know when your heart breaks." Oh really, when is that? "When you're NOT in love." Then after a few moments she added; "When you die." :) Today was Science with Lauralea and the kids were super excited as always. The theme was "our tongue" and "taste buds." Lots of tasting today! As you can see in the first picture we had a partially completed (ha) diagram of the tongue and we briefly told the kids where their taste buds are located. Atley - 9/29/2017

Atley ate malt-o-meal cereal and a bite of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a bite or two of "beef kabobs" (beef, peppers, zucchini, mushrooms), ate whole wheat toast, and pineapple. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon.  Atley was squatted down in the middle of the sidewalk watching school kids walk home.  Avilene saw her squatting there and ran to join her.  Not too much to say about this picture except for the fact I think it's adorable!! In this next picture Hudson was holding a mirror in front of Atley's face and he said, "This is Atley."  Ha!  These are some new mirrors I got; one side magnifies and the other side distorts!  (Hey!  Just trying to start them off with a good self-image! Ha!)
