Atley ate whole wheat bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate shrimp, a large serving of brown rice, bite of stir fry vegetables, and ate raspberries. These first two pictures were taken before breakfast and Atley was just playing with some animals and then on the mattress with Nora.  As usual Atley was being silly and Nora was laughing!!  :) Lauralea was with us for about 2 hours this morning doing some preschool trays and also some testing on the three oldest kids.  I think the parents will appreciate these development assessments that she's working on and it will also help me as their caregiver to look at some things to focus on.  The following picture was one of the "tests" she did.  She drew a horizontal line on her paper and asked if they could do one.  Then circle, then vertical line.  Some of the answers that Atley gives to Lauralea's questions are hilarious.  It so much depends on whether she is lis...

Atley ate a large serving of bran cereal and raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, bites of whole wheat pita bread, ate olives, bite of cucumber, bite of peppers, no tomato, and ate her pears. Avi and Atley were running back-n-forth between the chair and the mattress yelling about flying on the airplane, going on a trip, going to the airport, and going to the station.  Atley said to Nora; "The station Nor Nor, the station. The station!  Hop on, hop on!!"  (She wanted Nora to hop on the chair and go on a ride - Atley would spin her.)  Nora just stood there looking at Atley and then started hopping across the floor.  LOL!  That made me laugh!!  "Hey! I'm hopping on like you said - just on down the road!" I took this first picture after Atley had said, "I wanna do some school stuff!"  (She said that all morning - dropping the "preschool" and just calling it "school" stuff.)  Second picture; I said to Atley shortly afte...

Atley ate cream of wheat cereal and bites of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she had no bites of baked beef kabobs with meat, peppers, zucchini, mushrooms, and pineapple.  She ate a large serving of brown rice and bites of pineapple on the side.  At breakfast Avilene said, "I like the Packers."  So of course Atley mimicked that; "I like the Packers."  Avi wasn't impressed; "No you don't!! I like the Packers!"  Atley said, "I like the Packers!"  And this continued for three or four more times.  :) Only two of the regular Daycare kids are in this picture, but I'm posting it in all the Blogs to let everyone know that Reid is going to be coming after school (Kindergarten) to hang out for a couple of hours.  It won't be every day, but up to three days on some weeks.  Almost everyone knows Reid from earlier years and it's a joy to have him join us.  He has two older brothers so we've had this family in our Program for ov...

Atley ate waffle and bites of fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate several bites of shepherd's pie with hamburger, green beans, carrots, and potatoes.  She also ate whole grain tortilla and cherries. Atley is still occasionally obsessed with sprinklers.  :)  She spotted the neighbor's sprinkler this morning and was saying to Avi; "See the sprinkler Avi, see the sprinkler Avi, see the sprinkler Avi!?!" About 5 or 6 times.  Avi responded; " I DO see it."  Haha!  Then Avi and Atley were doing a lively game of chase; actually more like follow-the-leader (except with no leader) because they weren't trying to catch each other!  Around and around the igloo with frequent flops on the mattress giggling and laughing. I primarily took these first two pictures so you could see how cute Atley's hair was this morning.  Mommy had it pulled back from her face and she looked adorable.  Nice job Mommy!  She was reading books first thing ...

Atley ate french toast and strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate "Whole 30 Chili" (no beans) with hamburger, peppers, sweet potatoes, and tomatoes.  She also ate whole wheat dinner roll and ate a large serving of tropical fruit. Here are some pictures from outside time yesterday.  I got a 2nd sand table plus more sand toys and the kids had lots of fun with those.  Second picture: Avi, Atley, and Nora were down at the big chain link gate and one of them said, "Ice cream."  What?  So I walked down and sure enough there was this ice cream truck!!  (I did consider loading the kids up on sugar and sending them home!!  Ha!) And the ice cream truck drove by a 2nd time  real slow  to torment and tempt everyone!!  :) Atley and Avi were doing some preschool trays with Lauralea this morning before Lauralea left for work.  Right before I took these pictures Linnea was at the gate and yelled a couple of times.  Atley ...

Atley ate bite of toasted whole wheat english muffin and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of pork chop, most of whole wheat bread, no roasted vegetables (beets and sweet potatoes), and ate her applesauce. Momma Megan let Atley sleep in a little bit this morning and Atley was telling everyone (several times) "I be running late.  I be running late."  "I be a little bit late.  I be a little bit late."  That's the first thing she said to Ryan ( Nora's Daddy) and he got a big laugh out of that! In a daycare setting it's always comical when an infant starts walking because the other kids see it, but they don't really see it.  Days or sometimes weeks go by before they actually realize the baby is now walking.  I've seen this over and over!  Well today was the big day!  Avi said, "She's walking Gary! She's walking!! She's standing up!!"  Hahah!  So Atley, Avi, and Nora were lined up watching Linnea ...

Atley ate most of oatmeal and ate dried cranberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of fish (bass), large serving of whole wheat elbow noodles, bite of green beans, and a large serving of applesauce. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon.  It's always fun to have a friend like Atley!!  Lots of laughs and good times!  :)  So here's Nora watching Atley come down the slide on her back head-first; which is really never a good idea!  She didn't whimper or cry, BUT she also didn't do it again! She laid at the top of the slide like she was going to do it again, but made a better decision.  :) Next picture; Atley and Avi were playing with the carrots from the food toys, except the carrots were now their baseball bats!  I love how often Atley has a big grin on her face.  She is a fun loving girl and a great kid to have in my Daycare. This last picture kind of captures the essence of who Atley is as well; and also Linnea. ...
