Atley - 9/10/2018

Atley ate a large serving of bran cereal and raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, bites of whole wheat pita bread, ate olives, bite of cucumber, bite of peppers, no tomato, and ate her pears.

Avi and Atley were running back-n-forth between the chair and the mattress yelling about flying on the airplane, going on a trip, going to the airport, and going to the station.  Atley said to Nora; "The station Nor Nor, the station. The station!  Hop on, hop on!!"  (She wanted Nora to hop on the chair and go on a ride - Atley would spin her.)  Nora just stood there looking at Atley and then started hopping across the floor.  LOL!  That made me laugh!!  "Hey! I'm hopping on like you said - just on down the road!"

I took this first picture after Atley had said, "I wanna do some school stuff!"  (She said that all morning - dropping the "preschool" and just calling it "school" stuff.)  Second picture; I said to Atley shortly after she arrived; "Hey! You forgot to give me a morning hug!"  She ducked down beside the couch and I took this picture.  That's a super cute grin highlighted by the dimple!  Third picture; I got some more new markers (the thin ones this time) and they wanted to give them a try!

Last picture; Atley isn't really the primary focus of this picture, but she was intently watching from the sideline and that was cute.  I noticed that Nora had gotten some marker on her face and I was going to wash it after I had the art table cleaned up.  Then I saw Avi trying to clean it off with the doll blanket.  So cute.  Avi is a great little Mommy/Big Sister!!

Atley ate whole wheat bagel and peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger pizza with whole wheat crust, tomato sauce, olives, peppers, mushrooms, and pineapple. This isn't just about Atley, but I think you'll like it.  At the breakfast table when everyone was just about done eating Avilene started whipping her head side-to-side really fast and furious - just being a goof and showing-off!  Nora and Atley were laughing hard of course and started doing the same thing, squealing louder every passing second!  I told Avi, "Hold your head still please."  Hudson never misses an opportunity to add his two cents worth, and he followed with this; "Or your ponytail will fall out!"  haha!  (The fact that Avi didn't have a ponytail was apparently irrelevant!) Atley ate whole wheat English muffin and mandarin oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate two servings of ground beef, two servings of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and applesauce. I'm not exactly sure what brought about the conversation about our "heart," but Atley informed everyone "I know when your heart breaks." Oh really, when is that? "When you're NOT in love." Then after a few moments she added; "When you die." :) Today was Science with Lauralea and the kids were super excited as always. The theme was "our tongue" and "taste buds." Lots of tasting today! As you can see in the first picture we had a partially completed (ha) diagram of the tongue and we briefly told the kids where their taste buds are located. Atley - 9/29/2017

Atley ate malt-o-meal cereal and a bite of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a bite or two of "beef kabobs" (beef, peppers, zucchini, mushrooms), ate whole wheat toast, and pineapple. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon.  Atley was squatted down in the middle of the sidewalk watching school kids walk home.  Avilene saw her squatting there and ran to join her.  Not too much to say about this picture except for the fact I think it's adorable!! In this next picture Hudson was holding a mirror in front of Atley's face and he said, "This is Atley."  Ha!  These are some new mirrors I got; one side magnifies and the other side distorts!  (Hey!  Just trying to start them off with a good self-image! Ha!)
