Atley - 9/11/2018
Atley ate whole wheat bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, a large serving of brown rice, bite of stir fry vegetables, and ate raspberries.
These first two pictures were taken before breakfast and Atley was just playing with some animals and then on the mattress with Nora. As usual Atley was being silly and Nora was laughing!! :)
Lauralea was with us for about 2 hours this morning doing some preschool trays and also some testing on the three oldest kids. I think the parents will appreciate these development assessments that she's working on and it will also help me as their caregiver to look at some things to focus on. The following picture was one of the "tests" she did. She drew a horizontal line on her paper and asked if they could do one. Then circle, then vertical line. Some of the answers that Atley gives to Lauralea's questions are hilarious. It so much depends on whether she is listening, focused on something else, what mood she's in, if she's tired, etc. This morning Lauralea said, "What's your name?" Now we all know Atley knows her name. Right?!? Her answer; "Ri Ri" What!?! Hahaha! Picture number four; doing some preschool trays.
This last picture needs some explanation: Lauralea was "testing" Avi to see if she understood what it means to have or follow the "rules" of a game. (Nope, not yet - that's a little above her age range.) Anyhow, Lauralea was telling them a simple rule of "duck duck goose." The person who is "it" (goose) goes around the circle and touches each one saying, "duck" or "goose" and when they say "goose" that person has to jump up and chase and the "it" person tries to get to their spot first. Lauralea and I did it first to show them what that looked like. When it was their turn they were all just having fun chasing around and around the circle, but Nora got FURIOUS when someone sat in her spot!! Oh man that just hit my funny bone! Uhhhh...that's kind of the object of the game Nora. That's obviously way above her age capability as well, but in the context of this game it so was stinking funny!!
