Atley ate two servings of cinnamon/raisin English muffin and ate mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground beef, two servings of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas-n-carrots and two servings of applesauce. Well this is the last Blog post for sweet Atley. Just in case anyone is wondering this is Blog number 940 . Yup, that's a few Blogs for her. Ha! It doesn't seem that long ago when I first met Atley and I was always so impressed and happy with how quickly she adjusted to life at Little Treasures Child Care. We've talked about this many times and it always seemed like she'd been here forever. Atley is a wonderful child with many positive qualities and she'll do great in school as the years move forward. By the way I look forward to many invites to activities that Atley is involved in. Or I'll just show up uninvited!  Haha.  This is the perfect picture for Atley's last Blog. :) She's been doing these "bridges" for several weeks a...

Atley ate half of blueberry waffle and ate grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate chicken, ate whole wheat tortillas, corn, and three servings of apple slices.   We were looking out the window and as usual Atley impressed me with her observational skills. She misses nothing!! A "Mountain Lion" County van went by and looked to me like it had some kind of "lift kit" installed. It was definitely sitting higher than normal. Atley asked, "Why is that car bumped up at the wheel?" What a cute way to word it!! This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon and I just wanted you to see the large assortment of supplies they have set out on the table!! And they are working on tiny little pieces of Art. Ha. Next picture: Atley with the binoculars. She said, "I can see Miles really close!" Haha. She was obviously looking through the business end of them!! :) Following picture: Atley had Alexa playing "Race Cars" and she and Cal were ...

Atley ate bites of kix cereal and some fruit cocktail for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground turkey, toasted whole wheat hamburger bun, small serving of avocados, bite of tomatoes and ate cherries. At the lunch table Svea asked Atley; "What does your home look like!?!" Atley said, "You'll find out what you come to my house." Atley did really well being the "big girl" this morning around the younger kids. It was different for her, but I think she actually liked it! We'll see how the rest of the week goes!! Ha. Only once did she mention Avi and Nora; "I miss Avi and Nora."  As soon as she got here she started working on some Art and I liked this one she showed me. If you assumed it's a "bear," which is what I assumed, you're incorrect! Haha. It's a "Mickey Mouse Alien." Never heard of that one before! :) Next picture: Atley took breaks from doing Art and was working hard by herself to build a "Castle....

Atley ate oatmeal and baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.   The 3 oldest girls were at the table doing some Art. There was a clean piece of paper which had some paint or marker on the very top of it. And now no one will use it as they all consider it "ruined!!" Haha. Who did this? The denial was 100%. Nora said, "Gary, we all didn't do this!" That hit my funny bone. No of course not, it probably came out of the package that way. First picture: Three Kindergarteners doing a performance in front of the mirror yesterday afternoon. They were following the soundtrack from Moana. Second picture: Atley coming in for a landing! Haha. She's getting some pretty good air here considering she's just running from the gate to the mattress. Third picture: All 6 kids in one picture. I Lo...

Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Atley ate pulled pork, whole wheat toast, two servings of peas, and two servings of cantaloupe. First picture; Atley and Nora were building this wall around a cozy area where they put pillows, doll blankets, and stuffed animals. I liked how they'd put a little block on the top of every pillar. Second picture; And they even allowed the boys to come into their shelter out of the cold and Nora awarded Miles one of the Doll blankets!! Haha.  Next picture: Atley is using some netting that held some cantaloupes I got from Costco. She shoved several small stuffed animals into it and said, "Who wants a bag of teddies!?!" Haha. What a fun kid. I've enjoyed having Atley in my Program and so glad y'all found me!! She's gonna love Kindergarten. Next picture: All 5 kids in a small ...

Atley ate whole wheat toast and three servings of mangoes for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of ground beef with marinara sauce on top of a large serving of whole wheat spaghetti noodles - then two more large servings of spaghetti noodles, ate two servings of cauliflower, and three servings of fruit salad. Lunch conversation was primarily Avi giving Atley some tips on how to trick the parents. Haha. Here's a sample: "So ask your Dad to pick you up and he'll probably say yes." (Haha) "Then go ask your Mom to pick you up. And they'll both come to pick you up!!" And other variations on this theme.  Atley got Avi's water bottle for Avi to have a drink at Avi's request. Silence. I said, "Tell Atley thank you." Avi said, "Thank you" and Atley said, "Welcome." Avi said, "Why do you say welcome and not you're welcome?" Then Avi expanded on her point; "That's like saying welcome to the pal...

Atley ate two servings of blueberry bagel and three servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice soaked in black raspberry juice, ate broccoli, and ate black raspberries.   Apparently Atley has been having issues with Alexa lately!! Early this morning Atley said, "Alexa is still mad at me!" That made me laugh hard. Ok, it's time to reboot Alexa and that changed her attitude. :) First picture: Nora is not here today, but Atley still played at the Doll House. Well technically not AT the Doll House, but with Doll House accessories. :) In the second picture she made a "restaurant" with the legos. She has 2 little people facing each other and said they were "having a staring contest!" Haha. She made me laugh hard again! Third picture; Doing Animal Workout again and this time she's a "Dragon" in case you don't recognize the "dragon pose." :) Next picture; The kids were all lined up at the ...

Atley ate bran cereal and raisins for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her chicken, ate whole wheat pita bread, bite of avocado, bite of cucumbers, and ate pears.  We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and the kids were very busy all morning. So much so that they didn't even want to go outside. (Tate mowed this morning so Nora and Atley did spend some time at the window! Haha!) First picture: Atley was working on a sorting activity and Nora was making a shape with this electronic game.  Last picture: The 3 big girls spent a LONG time working with Mr Potato Head. There are 4 completed ones lined up in front of Nora. Atley did the 2 on the left. I'm still proud of this Potato Head score at a Garage Sale!! Haha. There are 8 bodies and LOTS of accessories all in excellent shape for $25. Nora decided it was time to look "cross-eyed" when I took the picture! Ha.

Atley ate two servings of cream of wheat cereal and ate dried plums for breakfast. For lunch she ate chicken, two large servings of brown rice, ate broccoli, and pineapple.  First picture: This is left over from yesterday afternoon when Atley, Nora, and Eden were collecting roly-poly bugs and putting them in the dump truck along with some dirt and grass. And this pictures applies to this morning as well as they were doing the same thing again. Second picture; Lots of activity on the mattress as usual. I liked this picture because Atley was getting some good lift off the balance beam when she was launching herself off. :) Check out how far her feet are above the blue beam. Eden has been working with the legos while Nora and Atley watched for a few moments and then launched right into their own projects. Second picture: This was pretty cool because they combined their individual efforts into one project! Without arguing!! Sometimes it helps when one child is older and bossy! Ha. And ...

Atley ate most of oatmeal and most of dried cranberries for breakfast. For lunch she ate tilapia, two servings of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate green beans, and two servings of applesauce.  First picture; Here is proof that Atley will play at the Doll House (first thing after she arrived) as long as there are "wheels" involved!! Ha. She also put 4 dogs in the car!! She had the back seat loaded with dogs and the baby was in the front between Mom and Dad. Second picture: Yup, you guessed it: More "Animal Workout!!" So what animal are you guys doing here? Atley said, "Butterflies!" Hmmm...ok, but what are you doing? She said, "We have to try to squeeze every muscle we have." Very cool. Next 3 pictures: Cheers! Our 2 Granddaughters are here. :) They are gonna be here all next week so the kids are gonna have a lot of fun! (Based on how this morning went!! Ha!) Eden is sitting between Atley and Nora. They were playing with the "pull and release...

Atley ate two servings of blueberry bagel and ate peaches for breakfast. For lunch she ate hamburger & sausage pizza with the meats, pineapple, peppers, olives, and tomato sauce. She ate whole wheat pizza crust (we serve on the side) and ate half of pineapple on the side too.  Today we did Science with Lauralea outside on the patio and we talked about the characteristics of Trees. We'd collected several samples for the kids to look at and learn. Here are some things we talked about: Two Primary types; Evergreen and Deciduous trees. Leaves and needles. Seeds inside cones and different  ways trees spread their seeds. We talked about root system, trunk, and the bark. Next picture: Here are more of the samples we collected. Leaves from Apple Tree, Sweet Cherry Tree, English Walnut Tree, Plum Tree, and a June Berry Tree. Following picture: Looking at a stem of seeds from a Cottonwood Tree. Third picture; Counting tree rings! Next picture: I'd peeled the bark off a little branch...
