Atley - 08/20/2021

Atley ate two servings of cream of wheat cereal and ate dried plums for breakfast. For lunch she ate chicken, two large servings of brown rice, ate broccoli, and pineapple. 

First picture: This is left over from yesterday afternoon when Atley, Nora, and Eden were collecting roly-poly bugs and putting them in the dump truck along with some dirt and grass. And this pictures applies to this morning as well as they were doing the same thing again. Second picture; Lots of activity on the mattress as usual. I liked this picture because Atley was getting some good lift off the balance beam when she was launching herself off. :) Check out how far her feet are above the blue beam.

Eden has been working with the legos while Nora and Atley watched for a few moments and then launched right into their own projects. Second picture: This was pretty cool because they combined their individual efforts into one project! Without arguing!! Sometimes it helps when one child is older and bossy! Ha. And sometimes that doesn't help one bit!! This time it helped.

Next picture: Atley is the pilot, Miles on one wing, and Eden in the back on a short "tail wing!" Haha. I've no idea what it's called, but I bet Daddy Brad can set me straight on that!! Haha. Last picture: Atley was a little aggressive (and loud) in her driving here and Miles was loving that!!

Atley ate whole wheat bagel and peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger pizza with whole wheat crust, tomato sauce, olives, peppers, mushrooms, and pineapple. This isn't just about Atley, but I think you'll like it.  At the breakfast table when everyone was just about done eating Avilene started whipping her head side-to-side really fast and furious - just being a goof and showing-off!  Nora and Atley were laughing hard of course and started doing the same thing, squealing louder every passing second!  I told Avi, "Hold your head still please."  Hudson never misses an opportunity to add his two cents worth, and he followed with this; "Or your ponytail will fall out!"  haha!  (The fact that Avi didn't have a ponytail was apparently irrelevant!) Atley - 03/11/2021

Atley ate whole wheat English muffin and mandarin oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate two servings of ground beef, two servings of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and applesauce. I'm not exactly sure what brought about the conversation about our "heart," but Atley informed everyone "I know when your heart breaks." Oh really, when is that? "When you're NOT in love." Then after a few moments she added; "When you die." :) Today was Science with Lauralea and the kids were super excited as always. The theme was "our tongue" and "taste buds." Lots of tasting today! As you can see in the first picture we had a partially completed (ha) diagram of the tongue and we briefly told the kids where their taste buds are located. Atley - 9/29/2017

Atley ate malt-o-meal cereal and a bite of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a bite or two of "beef kabobs" (beef, peppers, zucchini, mushrooms), ate whole wheat toast, and pineapple. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon.  Atley was squatted down in the middle of the sidewalk watching school kids walk home.  Avilene saw her squatting there and ran to join her.  Not too much to say about this picture except for the fact I think it's adorable!! In this next picture Hudson was holding a mirror in front of Atley's face and he said, "This is Atley."  Ha!  These are some new mirrors I got; one side magnifies and the other side distorts!  (Hey!  Just trying to start them off with a good self-image! Ha!) There were several robins in the yard when I took these last two pictures.  The robin in the first picture hopped down to the ground and Hudson said, "He fell off!"  Haha!  Robins are one of the more "calm...
