Atley's Journal

Atley ate whole wheat Chex cereal and peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, whole wheat hamburger bun, no tomato, no avocado, and ate mandarin oranges.    This first picture is left over from Friday afternoon and here's the story behind the picture:  Miles sleeps in this bedroom and I use these 2 baskets of baby toys if he wakes up before the "big" girls wake up.  (Because they are sleeping in the daycare room.)  So before we went outside Friday afternoon I said, "Atley and Nora I have a job for you guys.  Please pick up the baby toys for me.  If you want to DINK around with these toys for a few minutes I'm fine with that."  I could them discussing how to proceed and they were saying things like; "Shall we DINK around for awhile!?"  They apparently agreed to that idea because Nora yelled; "Gary, we're gonna DINK around for awhile."  Haha.  (I feel so proud.) Atley ate oatmeal and most of dried cranberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate tilapia, whole wheat elbow noodles, green beans, and applesauce.  She and Nora were SO silly all the way through Lunch!  They usually have fun and enjoy each other, but today the silliness was nuts.  Part of the reason: They were the only two at the table (Avi and Svea left at 11:00 for Seely Lake) and Another part: Nora's relentless giggles only served to inspire Atley to greater levels of nuttiness.  :)    First picture; This is left over from yesterday, but I just wanted to show you an activity/puzzle that Atley and Avi were having fun with.  There are several different patterns for them to follow while matching the shapes and colors.  Good work girls.  Next picture: Atley and Nora setting up their meal table.  Look at Nora giving Cal the "skunk-eye" for trying to help himself to their groceries.  Haha.  However, I noticed she was more len...

Atley had two servings of blueberry bagel and two servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate  hamburger and sausage pizza with meat, pineapple, peppers, olives, and tomato sauce.  She ate two servings of whole wheat pizza crust (which we serve separate) and ate pineapple on the side.  During Lunch Avilene asked, "How do you know these peppers (in the pizza) are good to eat?"  This was the only answer I could think of:  "Well they were in Costco's food section so I just made an assumption.  And I guess there is a certain amount of faith involved too."  Haha.  This morning Atley said, "Hey Gary!  Miles can say all of our names!!"  Oh really, are you sure?  "Yes." Atley ate two servings of whole wheat toast and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate half of carrots, and ate fruit salad.      Nora was trying to tell Atley something, but couldn't find the right words.  She finally said, "I'm scared if I think!"  Haha.  That hit my funny bone.  Easy fix; don't think!!  (I think maybe males are the only ones actually capable of that!  What are you thinking about? "Nothing."  And it's really true.  Haha.) Atley ate two servings of whole wheat English muffin and ate dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, bites of brown rice, ate stir fry vegetables, and ate mandarin oranges.   This first picture is actually from last Friday afternoon when everyone (except Miles) was at the fence waving bye to Lauralea.  Then I have a picture left over from yesterday afternoon.  (Speaking of yesterday, I have NO pain today and I'm so thankful!!)  Second picture: This made me laugh.  The kids were playing with the new flashlights and Atley was obviously curious about what she could see in the heating vent!!  So cute.  Side note; Atley and I bought these flashlights the day we went shopping at Cabela's.  They had a package of 6 for a very reasonable price.   Last picture; You can see what this activity is about; putting the different colored hippos on the correct spot and then they can count them all up.  There are some 1 + 1 and 2 + 2, b...

 Notice Everyone: There will not be a Blog today.  Lauralea is covering for me at 11:00. I have a painful swollen disk in my lower neck and I'm receiving an injection today.  All prayers and thoughts for a successful injection are appreciated.  Blogs should resume tomorrow. 

Atley ate two servings of brown rice and ate raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate salmon, two servings of whole wheat dinner roll, ate cauliflower, and ate mangoes.   At lunch Atley started this conversation: "If I have a baby my Mom will be a Grandma!"  Avi yelled, "If I have a baby my Mom will be a Grandma!" And Nora chimed in with the exact same phrase!  They were SO excited!!  They kept talking, but I was snickering too much to hear the rest of the story!!  I know it wasn't that funny, but I remember my kids saying things like that before I was hardly past 30!!  Yup, Life happens!!  Atley and Nora were playing with two narwhales that Atley brought from home.  Atley left her's laying on the floor and Miles got and stuck it in his mouth and basically wiped his nose with it!  Atley yelled, "There's snot on my narwhale!!"  Haha.  Yup, that's a possibility when you bring stuff into the Daycare!  First picture: I haven'...

Ok, I did Atley's Journal and then I have no idea what happened and where it disappeared to!!  Let me know if you get two of them.  So I'm just gonna do Avi, Atley, and Nora's Journal the same just for today. I don't have time to redo the whole thing.  I'm still trying to get used to the new formatting!!  So the Lunch conversation was most interesting today!!  I was dying laughing.  Atley was expounding; "Joe Biden is the President. Presidents have to help people. And they write on a piece of paper. Donald Trump doesn't say good words."  Nora said, "Why?"  Atley said, "Because he's a bad guy and some people like bad guys."  Again Atley emphasized the extreme difficultly of the presidency because they have to write on paper.  LOL!!  So I asked her if the president was working on his "ABC's?" Atley ate two servings of waffles and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate two servings of chicken, ate whole wheat tortillas, corn, and two servings of baked cinnamon apples.   At the breakfast table Atley got the conversation going by asking, "Well did everyone have a good sleep last night!?!"  Haha.   First picture: This is a cute picture of a friend helping a friend!!  Atley was working hard helping Nora get these dress-up shoes fastened!  Thank you Atley.  That was very sweet.  I love it when they ask each other for help.   Next picture: I was wondering what Atley was doing under the table with one of the cars.  Then I heard her talking about going through the "car wash."  That made me laugh.  That's actually pretty creative if you ask me!! Atley ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, whole wheat hamburger bun, bite of avocado, ate tomatoes, and cherries.  At breakfast I told the kids that Nora and Miles were the only ones here Friday and Atley asked Nora, "What were you wearing!?"  Haha!! And Nora remembered!!  "A flamingo shirt."   We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend so everyone was busier than usual.  Nora and Atley were playing with the dress-up clothes and then the light bulb went off - they looked at each other and realized toy exchange meant different doll accessories!!  They both yelled; "DOLL HOUSE!!"  Haha.  That was pretty cute.  And here they are in the first picture.  Second picture: Atley found the cars and immediately picked out the two blue one.  These are battered powered and work good on the hardwood floors.   Next picture; Look at all the toys on the sinks.  Atley said, "We're h...

Atley ate French toast and dried plums for breakfast.  (And she didn't even call it "dried-up plums" this time!)  For lunch she ate pulled pork, two servings of whole wheat toast, ate peas, and three servings of watermelon.    Nora and Atley were running back-n-forth across the room and flopping on the mattress.  Nora kind of cut in front of Atley and made her fall.  Atley said, "You make me clumsy!!"  Haha.  That cracked me up!  No, actually she made you fall.  If I'm clumsy I can't blame it on my friends.  :)  By the way, I don't think think Atley is clumsy.  Maybe "floppy" at times, but not clumsy.   In the first picture Nora and Atley joined up to do some Doll House play - Again!!  :)  Following picture;  This was taken moments after Avilene arrived.  Nora said, "I want to do a piggyback.  When they all three pile on like you see in the picture they call this "stacking up."  Haha. ...

Atley ate three servings of whole wheat toast and ate mangoes for breakfast.   For lunch she ate bite of ground beef with marinara sauce, ate whole wheat spaghetti noodles, bites of cauliflower, and ate fruit salad.   At snack yesterday afternoon Nora was talking about a " calapitter ."  Then Avi and also Atley kept saying " calapitter " over and over and over.  I'll be danged if there wasn't a couple of moments there when I couldn't think of the right way to say " caterpillar !!"  Haha. Atley ate bran cereal and raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, ate pita bread, no avocado, bite of cucumber, and ate pears.   Everyone was laughing at breakfast because Miles was in his highchair and watching the pictures on the digital frame and he started waving at them.  Haha.  It was very cute.   It was so nice to have Nora and Miles back today!!  Nora was SO happy and it was adorable to watch.  Atley arrived at breakfast time after going to the dentist and when Nora spotted Atley she got even more excited. Atley ate two servings of cream of wheat cereal and ate dried plums for breakfast.  (Or as Atley called them; "Are we having  dried-up  plums?" Haha.)  For lunch she ate ground turkey, bites of brown rice, bites of broccoli, and ate pineapple.   I was showing Atley some pictures on my phone from our week off.  Most of my pictures were taken when I was hiking on trails.  I asked Atley; "How do you like that picture?"  She said, "Boring."  Haha.
