Atley ate two servings of waffles and ate fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of turkey loaf, bites of whole wheat tortillas, half of sweet potatoes, and two servings of cherries. I have three pictures left over from yesterday afternoon.  The UPS driver had just brought a package to the door and these kids waved from the window.  Atley said, "I love him. He's my favorite boy."  Haha.  How's that for classic "love at first sight?"  Ha!  Yesterday afternoon outside a neighbor "Ty" stopped for a moment and Atley was telling him her address.  He had no clue what she was talking about, but I just thought I'd mention it here.  It's nice for them to know their address, but...... Next picture; Well it's "open season" on spring bugs.  The sunshine on the white building is a major attraction for the bugs.  Following picture: They're now running from a bee.  (I didn't see one!!)  Look to the back of picture a...

Atley had two servings of French toast and ate strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of "Whole 30 Chili" with meat, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, and tomato sauce.  She ate whole wheat dinner roll, and tropical fruit.  At lunch Avi informed Atley; "I'm gonna sleep with my necklace on."  Atley said, "I'm ok with that."  :)  When Atley first walked in she said, "Hey Gary! There's a GOOD smell in the kitchen!"  :)  Yup, that chili has been and will be in the crock pot all morning.  :) At breakfast and lunch the table kids (Nora is back - and so is Miles) started saying, "Me too, me too." That led to "me 3, me 4, me 5,......"  They were taking turns too and doing a good job of counting.  At lunch they got it turned around and Svea pitched in with this comment; "No no!! Avi 7."  Haha. First picture;  This picture was very shortly after Nora's arrival and this was an important meetin...

Atley ate whole wheat English muffin and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pork roast, two servings of whole wheat toast, ate beets, and applesauce. We went on a virtual field trip this morning and looked at web cams of different birds around the United States.  That site has the osprey here in the Missoula valley.  (The nest was empty this morning.)  I noticed a web cam for a "Red-tailed Hawk."  I said, "Let's see if there is a hawk around." Atley assumed that was the name of the bird; "hawk-around."  She said, "I want to see the hawk-around."  Haha.  That hit my funny bone. Here are pictures from Atley's morning.  We stayed busy and the kids were doing some play dough even before breakfast.  In the second picture we laid the alphabet pieces out on the floor and then I gave them cards with letters on one side and pictures on the other side and they had to locate the letters.  Avi and Atley both enjoyed th...

Atley ate corn Chex cereal and ate two servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, whole wheat hamburger bun, half of tomatoes, ate avocado, and two servings of mandarin oranges. I told Atley this morning; "Hey those are snazzy jeans!"  She said, "No, they are pants.  But they look like snazzy jeans."  Haha.  Good to know!  Except I still don't know the difference.  :)  Also, Just an FYI for everyone, I don't think Nora will be here this week so you'll obviously not see her in the Blog. First picture: We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and in this picture Atley has lined up lots of the dinosaurs in the window sill.  Next picture: After breakfast Atley and Avi were doing an activity with some foam blocks and building a house.  When I took the picture they were trying to fix a chimney for "Santa to come down."  :)   Third picture; Atley was just dinking around under the legos table. ...

Atley ate oatmeal and dried cranberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate tilapia, whole wheat elbow noodles, 2 green beans, and ate her applesauce. Atley and Nora were visiting and I heard Nora say, "Don't say that word."  What did she say?  Nora said, "Bum bum."  Haha.  Oooo, that's a bad one!! This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon, but it was funny what she was saying so I had to keep it!!  (At least it's funny to me!!  Haha!)  Atley said, "Hey Nora!!  Do you wanna touch my snow globe!??!"  Which is pretty creative, but you know the whole thing about "yellow snow" was all I could think of!!  :) I took this next picture long before anyone else showed up this morning.  Atley had the doll blanket hanging over the entrance to the igloo and the pillow was holding it in place.  When she crawled out this is what happened.  Then she was froze there!  Haha.  So of course I asked, "What a...

Atley ate two servings of blueberry bagel and ate peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger & sausage pizza with the meat, peppers, pineapple, tomato sauce, and olives.  She had bites of whole wheat pizza crust (which we serve separately), and ate three servings of pineapple on the side. The pictures in this Blog are basically going to cover yesterday afternoon.  April 1st is Nora's birthday and considering the pandemic we decided to have an impromptu birthday party.  (And by "we" I basically mean Lauralea!!)  We did 4 different games and one activity (making play-doh) and it used up at least 2 hours of the afternoon.  THANK YOU LAURALEA!!  Considering we have a back room full of supplies it wasn't a stretch for this to happen!  It was lots of fun and a great substitute for a missed party!! This first picture was yesterday morning when it was snowing quite hard and steady!  The girls were watching Neighbor boy Joel filling a...

Atley had two servings of whole wheat toast and ate grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of pork roast, half of whole wheat tortillas, bites of sweet potatoes, and ate fruit salad. I took this first picture before the girls even left the window from waving at Daddy Ryan.  Atley must have been excited Nora had arrived because she was talking non-stop!  Nora noticed it too!  Haha. Nora said, "Atley! Atley! Atley! Let me talk!!" Next picture; We had a couple boxes that the kids were playing in.  As you can imagine Atley didn't last very long in the box with Nora; That's a tight fit!!  Following picture; We found a better use for the box and everyone had fun drawing on it and putting tape on it.  The final product is on display in the entrance room for your viewing pleasure. Last picture;  I had several pieces of air-filled packing plastic and the kids were having fun popping them.  Or at least Avi and Atley were popping the...
