Atley - 4/1/2020

Atley had two servings of whole wheat toast and ate grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of pork roast, half of whole wheat tortillas, bites of sweet potatoes, and ate fruit salad.

I took this first picture before the girls even left the window from waving at Daddy Ryan.  Atley must have been excited Nora had arrived because she was talking non-stop!  Nora noticed it too!  Haha. Nora said, "Atley! Atley! Atley! Let me talk!!"

Next picture; We had a couple boxes that the kids were playing in.  As you can imagine Atley didn't last very long in the box with Nora; That's a tight fit!!  Following picture; We found a better use for the box and everyone had fun drawing on it and putting tape on it.  The final product is on display in the entrance room for your viewing pleasure.

Last picture;  I had several pieces of air-filled packing plastic and the kids were having fun popping them.  Or at least Avi and Atley were popping them.  Svea tried and tried, but was not successful.  Nora spent more time running to the Play room to get away from the possibility of noise.  Ha!  Atley started having success when she was jumping directly on them with both feet.  Notice that Nora and Avi aren't taking any chances with loud noises.  :)

Atley ate whole wheat bagel and peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger pizza with whole wheat crust, tomato sauce, olives, peppers, mushrooms, and pineapple. This isn't just about Atley, but I think you'll like it.  At the breakfast table when everyone was just about done eating Avilene started whipping her head side-to-side really fast and furious - just being a goof and showing-off!  Nora and Atley were laughing hard of course and started doing the same thing, squealing louder every passing second!  I told Avi, "Hold your head still please."  Hudson never misses an opportunity to add his two cents worth, and he followed with this; "Or your ponytail will fall out!"  haha!  (The fact that Avi didn't have a ponytail was apparently irrelevant!) Atley ate whole wheat English muffin and mandarin oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate two servings of ground beef, two servings of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and applesauce. I'm not exactly sure what brought about the conversation about our "heart," but Atley informed everyone "I know when your heart breaks." Oh really, when is that? "When you're NOT in love." Then after a few moments she added; "When you die." :) Today was Science with Lauralea and the kids were super excited as always. The theme was "our tongue" and "taste buds." Lots of tasting today! As you can see in the first picture we had a partially completed (ha) diagram of the tongue and we briefly told the kids where their taste buds are located. Atley - 9/29/2017

Atley ate malt-o-meal cereal and a bite of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a bite or two of "beef kabobs" (beef, peppers, zucchini, mushrooms), ate whole wheat toast, and pineapple. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon.  Atley was squatted down in the middle of the sidewalk watching school kids walk home.  Avilene saw her squatting there and ran to join her.  Not too much to say about this picture except for the fact I think it's adorable!! In this next picture Hudson was holding a mirror in front of Atley's face and he said, "This is Atley."  Ha!  These are some new mirrors I got; one side magnifies and the other side distorts!  (Hey!  Just trying to start them off with a good self-image! Ha!)
