Atley ate toasted whole wheat english muffin and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pork chops, whole wheat toast, nibble of roasted vegetables (potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, sweet potatoes), and ate a large serving of applesauce.  (I'm posting the following in everyone's journal.) Hudson was eating fine, but chattering non-stop through breakfast!  (Which he'd already been doing - jabbering from arrival to breakfast!)  If volume is any indication (which it is) then Hudson was happy to be back and everyone else was happy as well.  Atley is the queen of volume and even she had her ears plugged at breakfast.  WOW!  Haha!  I never cease to be amazed how ONE child can make the energy level and volume increase exponentially at an amazing rate!!  But that's what happens.  Welcome back Bubba!  :)  Everyone was excited and talking and yelling at the same time!  That's not too unusual, but Hudson expects me to ...

Atley ate whole grain chex cereal and peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, half of whole wheat hamburger bun, ate half of lettuce and bites of tomatoes, and a bite of oranges. It's so cool how Atley's language continues to explode!  (And that's really not over-stated!)  The amount of words and language she's learning during the past months and also going forward is mind-boggling!!  Such a fun time in her development!  She was looking at me saying, "no running, no running, no running" over and over before I realized it was "nose running."  Haha!  Ok Atley come here and I'll wipe your nose. Here's a note (not about Atley - but Atley was eating and witnessing this whole thing) from Avi's Blog that I think you'll like:  At lunch time Avi said, "Bubba's bib" probably three times before I realized she was trying to tell me that I'd put his bib on Linnea and I was busy feeding her! (Hudson is not here ...

Atley ate oatmeal and half of dried cranberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of tilapia, ate whole wheat elbow noodles, no green beans, and ate her applesauce.  (A large serving of everything!)  While I was putting the food on the lunch trays Baby Linnea was watching Hudson, Avi, Atley, and Nora all going "head first" off the blue balance beam onto the mattress.  At lunch Hudson was telling me all about it:  "We were standing on our heads and Linnea started laughing.  We did it over and over!"  My favorite sound; all the kids laughing, giggling, and having fun! Atley's love of watching airplanes fly over is rubbing off on Nora.  :)  And I could even understand what Nora was saying at the window this morning; "Pane Pane Pane Pane!"  :)  Even when we are indoors Atley will start yelling and running for the window when she hears one fly over. We had a fun morning and we started off by doing some selfies!  Ha!  I...

Atley ate bites of whole wheat bagel and two servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger/sausage pizza with whole wheat crust, tomato sauce, peppers, mushrooms, pineapple, and olives.  She also ate bites of side serving of pineapple.  Hudson is hanging out with his "Pappy and Two-Two" today and and the meal times were oddly quiet!  Ha! I'm posting these first two pictures together because Atley and Avi can play in close proximity and rarely have conflict.  Their temperaments and personalities just kind of mesh together and it's fun to watch.  (Now after saying that - next week they'll probably have major conflict!!  Ha!  But so far it's been wonderful!!)  Avi was on the chair first with the music box, then Atley joined her.  In the 2nd picture it was Avilene joining Atley to do puzzles. Avi and Atley were going down the little slide on pillows this morning.  We also sang songs and read ...

Atley ate most of whole wheat toast and ate grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pork roast, half of whole grain tortillas, vegetables (no carrots, no potatoes, ate sweet potatoes), and ate half of fruit salad.  (Picked out what she liked - blueberries and mangoes.) Shortly after Atley arrived the snowflakes were coming down pretty thick!  She was at the window looking out, getting excited and pointing!  I said, "Yes, it's snowing hard!"  She emphatically said, "Brrr...brrr..."  Oh, bird!!  Ha!  I quickly went to the window and caught a glimpse of about 20 geese flying in formation just before they went out of sight!  I could tell by the urgency in her voice that I hadn't guessed correctly with what she was trying to show me!  Thank you Atley!  That was awesome! Not too much to say about this first picture - I just enjoy watching the kids study the posters.  (Which reminds me - I need to change some of the posters!! ...

Atley ate bites of whole wheat english muffin and bites of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of stir fry vegetables with chicken, she ate a large serving of brown rice, and no oranges. I've been working daily with Atley to ask me first before leaving the room to go do puzzles.  And today she did it exactly like I've been asking her!  It was so cool and I was excited and proud of her.  Hudson and Avi model it well and Atley is following suit!  Very proud!!  Nice job Atley. This next picture comes out of one of our special books that we occasionally read at Story Time.  Every time we read it the kids say, "That's you Gary.  That looks like you Gary."  Haha!  Ok, I'm fine with that; I can see the resemblance.  Ha!  Anyhow, today Avi said, "What are you holding Gary?"  That is a pitchfork!  Hudson asked, "What do you use it for?"  To throw hay to my animals.  Isn't that the cutest.  I...

Atley ate 2 or 3 bites of breakfast: cheerios and banana.  She only had a few bites of lunch as well: Chicken salad with lettuce, tomato, peppers, olives, mushrooms, and avocado.  She had a couple bites of whole grain pita bread and no watermelon.  At breakfast I said, "You guys are awesome kids!"  Hudson said, "Awesome sauce!"  Yup!  That's right!!  :) This isn't about Atley - although Atley was there of course - but I think you'll like this!!  At Story Time we were reading Dr. Seuss; "What would you rather be when you grow up?"  One line says, "Or a fat flapjack flapper in a flat flapped-jack cap?"  Hudson said, "I'm gonna be a flap flat jacker!"  Haha!  So Avi said the same; "I'm gonna be a flap flat jacker!!"  Haha!  And of course you know where this in going!!  Now they are arguing and both saying the same thing; "NO!! I'm gonna be.....!!"  It was hilarious!! Here are some pictures of...
