Atley - 4/9/2018

Atley ate whole grain chex cereal and peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, half of whole wheat hamburger bun, ate half of lettuce and bites of tomatoes, and a bite of oranges.

It's so cool how Atley's language continues to explode!  (And that's really not over-stated!)  The amount of words and language she's learning during the past months and also going forward is mind-boggling!!  Such a fun time in her development!  She was looking at me saying, "no running, no running, no running" over and over before I realized it was "nose running."  Haha!  Ok Atley come here and I'll wipe your nose.

Here's a note (not about Atley - but Atley was eating and witnessing this whole thing) from Avi's Blog that I think you'll like:  At lunch time Avi said, "Bubba's bib" probably three times before I realized she was trying to tell me that I'd put his bib on Linnea and I was busy feeding her! (Hudson is not here today - with Tutu and Pappy.)  Ha! Thanks Avilene!  Stinking color-coded bibs!  His bib and Linnea's look very similar to me, but they're probably NOT!  Avi pointed to where the bibs hang and said, "There's Linnea's bib."  (So Avi apparently thinks I'm slow as well as colorblind! Haha!)  Yes and thank you again Avi!!  I really DO have a legitimate excuse for having a hard time focusing on my work today!!  Sorry, but I can't help myself;  I have to include this in the Blog!!  My daughter in Louisiana is pregnant (after years of trying and Drs saying it probably wasn't gonna happen) and today they found out it's a boy and I've kind of been floating all morning!!!!!  :)  I have 2 granddaughters so this is very cool.

We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange and the kids have been busy all morning.  Avi put on a frog suit and Atley immediately wanted help with the lion suit - and then the bear mask!  Haha!!  So of course I have to post a picture of that!!  Atley also did lots of puzzles.  Several different times.  I mentioned last week how she's doing great asking permission to go through the gate to the puzzle area.  Today it was "puzzle, puzzle, puzzle" while pointing to herself!  Very good!  I like that! 2nd picture: Atley was jumping blind with the doll blankets over her head - along with Avi and Nora who were doing the same thing.  Last picture; the three girls waiting for me to gather books for Story Time.  :)
