Atley's Journal

Atley ate whole wheat bagel and grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate shrimp, a large serving of brown rice, bites of stir fry vegetables, and ate raspberries. I called Linnea, "Svea."  Atley said, "No, that's not Svea, that's Linnea."  Then just in case I was still confused she pointed at Svea and said, "Svea is over there!"  Haha!  Thanks Atley!  I need all the help I can get.  :) First picture; I told Avi and Atley they could take these cars to the hardwood floor where they run so much better.  (battery powered) Next picture: Avilene in the wolf mask.  Nora saw Avi putting it on and said, "Avi's gonna be the wolf!!"  And Nora and Atley were hiding.  Let's just say Avi totally got into character and was pretty exuberant about being a wolf!  Haha!  They were all having a blast.  :) I took this last picture when Avi and Atley were being SO funny with these masks!!  I didn't even realize Linnea wa...

Atley ate bran cereal and raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat pita bread, avocado, bite of cucumber, bite of peppers, and ate pears.  She was wanting something else for Lunch and without even thinking I said, "You haven't even touched your avocado yet!"  Within 2.5 seconds she said, "I touched my avocado!!"  Haha!  Those literal interpretations always cracks me up!! This first picture is left over from Friday afternoon when Atley and Nora were playing "hide and seek!" Nora would yank the pillow off Atley and they'd laugh and laugh like it was the funniest thing ever! And for them I guess it probably was!!  Repeat over and over!  :) Here are some pictures from this morning:  We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and Avi remembered these "cheese slices" and "bologna slices" would stick to the window!! Atley ate a large serving of whole grain cream of wheat cereal and half of her banana piece for breakfast.  Or as Atley called it; "Queen of weed cereal."  Haha!  Then she changed it to " Cream of weed cereal."  For lunch Atley ate half of her baked beef kabobs with meat, zucchini, pineapple, and peppers.  She ate bites of whole wheat bagel and ate pineapple on the side. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon and Nora, Atley, and Avi were doing some sidewalk chalk and as you can see they kept at it for a long time. Now some pictures from this morning:  Atley was building with some little blocks and she said, "I make a carwash!"  Ha!  Next picture: They are playing with their flashlights and Avi is checking out their hiding spot with her headlamp.  Nora asked Avi, "Is Linnea trying to find us?"  (Linnea wasn't aware of them being gone yet! Atley ate two servings of waffle and ate fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of shepherd's pie with meat, green beans, carrots, and potatoes.  She ate bites of whole wheat tortillas and ate her cherries. Someone from the Missoulian Paper had thrown a complimentary paper onto our driveway (I'm already subscribed to the e-edition!) and Atley spotted it.  She said, "There's news laying out there."  Haha!  Isn't that cute!?  Love it. First picture:  I'd just finished Linnea's hair when Atley arrived and it was still damp from me spraying water on it, so I made her ponytail sticking straight up!  (It's long, right!!??)  Atley thought that was hilarious and said, "Do it again!" (When it would start to fall over.) Atley ate two servings of French toast and two servings of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate several bites of whole 30 chili with sweet potatoes, tomatoes, tomato sauce, and peppers.  She ate whole wheat dinner roll and tropical fruit. The kids were asking to play the same board game we played yesterday - I posted a picture in yesterday's Blog with them playing.  And they really enjoyed it again.  Avi and Atley chose the same color pieces, but Nora chose green this time.  She said, "I had blue yester-morning."  Two times today I heard her say, "yester-morning."  :) This first picture is from yesterday afternoon and you can see Atley does get to ride in the stroller, but she's usually the one pushing!!  Second picture: This is pretty silly, but I LOVE the expression on Nora's face.  So cute.  Nora was watching Atley and I asked Atley, "what are you sniffing?"  She said, "Your sock!"  Haha!  What a goof! ...

Atley ate whole wheat English muffin and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pork chop, ate whole wheat toast, bites of beets, bites of sweet potatoes, and ate applesauce.  At breakfast Atley said, "We can't cough at the table."  Haha!  I said, "Yes we can cough, but cover your cough like this."  (So I did a cough into my elbow.)  Nora said, "We can say aaah.....chooo!!"  Ha!  Avi said, "NO! We say Bless you!!"  Hilarious! Atley and Nora were having a conversation and it went something like this.  (Invitations to each other's house are common; almost daily.)  Atley said, "Do you want to come to my house Nora?"  Nora said, "No, just my own house."  Atley (obviously trying to sweeten the pot - haha!) said, "Well I have Brad at my house. I love my Brad."  ...  "And a Megan."  Nora said, "Well I love my Emily!!"  The comedy never ends! First picture; The kids liked wat...

Atley ate half of whole wheat Chex cereal and half of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, whole wheat hamburger bun, bite of tomato, bite of avocado, and ate her oranges.  I looked out the window during lunch and there was a little bunny rabbit in the yard.  So I took Nora, Avi, and Atley out on the patio and the bunny continued to sit in the middle of the yard munching grass.  Atley asked, "Can we go get it?"  Sure!  So away they went running across the yard after the bunny, and away the bunny went; even faster!  :)  That was just too cute.  Atley asked, "why did it run?"  Because you were chasing it!!  Ha!  I told them it was the real easter bunny!  (Just running a bit behind schedule.) Atley was at the window waving bye to Momma when she looked on the concrete in front of the window and a dead bird was laying there.  I could see the mark on the window where it had hit! Atley ate half of oatmeal and bites of dried cranberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of tilapia, ate whole wheat elbow noodles, green beans, and applesauce. First picture: We frequently snuggle first thing in the morning when there is lots of extra time and less kids!!  Atley asked, "Will you snuggle me Gary?"  She was sitting on my lap and I had the camera and she was examining my neck.  I asked her if she was looking for bugs!!  Haha!  And she's cracking up! Next picture: This is Nora's MO under noisy circumstances!  Zoom in on the picture and you'll see she has her ears plugged!  Atley, Avi, and Linnea were being loud and rowdy!!  At least Nora wasn't distressed and she was still smiling!!  :) Last picture - we'd brought the medium sized blocks in from the patio so Lauralea could do some testing with Linnea.  Avi, Atley, and Nora wanted to build with them.  Atley said, "I'm making a Christmas tree." ...

Atley ate two servings of whole wheat bagel and ate her peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate several bites of hamburger and sausage pizza with whole wheat pizza crust, tomato sauce, olives, pineapple, and peppers.  She also ate a large serving of pineapple on the side. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon!  The kids started asking about sand play in the middle of February when there was still lots of snow on the ground!!  Nora was the first one done in the sand, but she still played for probably 15 - 20 minutes.  Atley and Avi went for several more minutes after that! Atley ate whole wheat toast and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pork roast, bites of whole wheat tortilla, bite of carrots, bite of potatoes, and ate a large serving of fruit salad.  Avi and Atley had a conversation about the "easter bunny" at the lunch table.  I have to preface this by saying, Atley came in this morning talking about what the easter bunny was gonna bring and Avi came in talking about painting Easter eggs tonight.  So they both had easter bunny on their mind and it went like this; Avi said, "We're coloring Easter eggs today."  Atley said, "Easter bunny gonna hide the eggs."  Avi said, "NO he's NOT!!"  Atley said, "Why?"  Avi said, "He's gonna bring them from the store!!"  Haha!  It was SO cute. Atley ate two servings of whole wheat English muffin and ate dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of chicken with stir fry vegetables, bites of brown rice and one bite of oranges. When she was through waving at Momma Megan this morning she pointed out the window at the rain spout and asked, "What's that right there?"  I said, "it's the rain spout."  Atley asked, "Where's the spider? That's for the spider."  Ha!  Love it.  (Just in case someone doesn't know; "The itsy bitsy spider climbed up the water spout....") Atley ate most of cheerios and ate banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, whole wheat pita bread, olives, no salad, and ate her strawberries.  Avi was still sitting at the breakfast table, everyone else was done, and she heard Linnea start howling from the play room.  (She's struggling while trying to poop.)  Well Avi just immediately said, "Atley just hit Linnea!!"  They were on the opposite side of the Play room and Avi did NOT see anything!!  She was just doing some "experienced guessing!"  Haha!  Well, we're off to a good Monday morning!! Atley ate most of her oatmeal and ate baked cinnamon apples for breakfast.  For lunch she ate salmon, ate whole wheat dinner roll, cauliflower, and most of her mangoes. First picture:  Reid was here yesterday afternoon and everyone loves having him!!  He was building a wall around Atley. Then he was being goofy and "busting" blocks apart using his forehead!  Guess who was laughing the hardest AND laughing every time!  Yup, you got it right!  Atley was giving him all kinds of encouragement for his silliness!!  Second picture:  Everyone was thrilled to be outside for the first time this week!!  I cut some wooden "stepping stones" and also these various sized wooden slices.  (We'll call them "cookies.")  Reid was showing the kids one way to use them.
