Atley ate french toast and strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of "whole 30 chili" with meat, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, and peppers and lots of spices.  She also ate tropical fruit and whole wheat dinner roll. I took this first picture shortly after she arrived because I knew the kitty ears head band and the white things (Sorry Megan, I've no clue what they represent!!  Haha!) wouldn't last too long.  She kept saying, "I have costume on my head!"  Later, when talking to Lauralea she changed it to; "I have decoration on my head."  Haha! We had a pretty typical morning even though it's Halloween and the kids know it's something different.  Avi was talking about "Trick or Treat with Jackson."  (Her cousin.)  Nora said, "I'm gonna trick or teat " too! Last two pictures: Atley read books several times and also did puzzles.  In the last picture Atley is doing some "shape" matching that s...

Atley ate toasted whole wheat english muffin and grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of pork chop, ate whole wheat toast, no sweet potatoes, half of beets, and ate applesauce. Well I got several pictures of Atley's morning!  She was her usual fun loving self and we did lots of activities.  We read books, sang songs, did some sign language, and even some videos that Lauralea helped me with.  Three or four short videos of the kids singing - hopefully get those put together with other pictures for something on DVD by Christmas!  (Hopefully!) First picture: Atley was looking at a phone picture in a book and asked, "What is this!?!"  That's an "old time phone."  Haha!  (It was a corded desk phone.)  Then she was on the phone (in the picture) saying, "Hello hello hello!"  I said, "You're cracking me up!" She said, "Cracking you up!"  Yup!  She also did several preschool activity trays. These next two pictures ...

Atley ate chex cereal and half of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, whole wheat hamburger bun, ate avocado, bite of tomatoes, and ate half of oranges. First picture: Nora was laying on the floor with her baby singing, "Goodnight baby, goodnight baby, goodnight baby, time (to) nappy now."  Repeatedly.   Atley brought a blanket and baby over and joined Nora.  Atley, of course, wasn't content to just lay there - she had to start entertaining Nora.  Haha! She rolled over and started messing with her eye and was tugging on her eyelid!  (That's what she's doing in the picture!)  Nora was cracking up much to Atley's delight! We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and everyone was super busy this morning.  Next picture: Nora was siting and reading some books and Atley again joined her.  Look at the stack of books Atley accumulated.  I guess she planned on being there for awhile!!  :)  Actually, ...

Atley ate bites of her oatmeal and ate dried cranberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate tilapia, whole wheat elbow noodles, half of green beans, and ate applesauce. Yesterday afternoon Avi said, "Tomorrow is Friday.  Then it's Wednesday, then the weekend.  AND I can watch Rock Dog!!  And Ice Age!!"  Haha!  First thing this morning she said, "Atley!!  It's Friday and two more left and then it's the weekend!  Ok Atley!?!"  Atley was like; "Ok whatever."  Anticipating the weekends begins at an early age!!  :) First picture: Atley was doing some reading at the table while Avi was working on some puzzles.  Atley read books several times this morning.  One of the times Nora and Atley were in competition for most volume on "Baa Baa Black Sheep."  Let's just say Atley can perform a few decibels above everyone else.  Wow, she can be loud!!  How about we sing together!?!  Haha!  Another time Atley was...

Atley ate whole wheat bagel and two servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of sausage and hamburger pizza with whole wheat pizza crust, tomato sauce, olives, pineapple, and peppers.  She also ate some pineapple on the side. Reid was here after school yesterday and he was regaling us with some stories at the snack table.  He really does have a funny sense of humor and comes up with some dandies!!  He looked at the little kids and said, "Hey Guys!!  The only thing you do in Kindergarten is sit in your seat and listen to your teacher!"  Haha!  Thank you Reid.  You make it sound like lots of fun.  :) First picture: Nora and Atley were sitting on the bench traveling to the airport.  Atley was yelling out instructions: "Are you ready to go Nor Nor?!?"  "Get your seat belt on!"  "Click click click."  (I liked that; she was doing the sounds for the seatbelt!.)  "We're going to the airport!!"  :) ...

Rather than sending out a separate email I'm gonna include a reminder to begin the Blog today.   Please write these dates down, put them in your calendar, or whatever you use. Closure dates for the remainder of 2018: November 19 - 23.   Little Treasures is closed for Thanksgiving week.  (Louisiana here we come!!!) December 24 - 25. Also, closed for New Years Day January 1st.  That's a Tuesday and I'm scheduled to be open on Monday December 31st unless most families have other plans. Atley ate whole wheat toast and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of pork roast, ate whole wheat tortilla, no carrots & potatoes, and ate half of fruit salad. First picture: Some library time in the preschool room!  Nora was singing the "Alphabet" song over and over and over and over.... and for once Atley was letting her sing without joining in and overwhelming her with volume!!  Ha!!  Hey, Daddy Brad, I didn't even notice...

Atley ate toasted whole wheat english muffin and dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of chicken, large serving of brown rice, half of stir fry vegetables, and ate oranges. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon when Nora and Atley were playing in the house on the patio.  Atley was making ice cream; "Making ice cream."  And Nora was waiting for her to fill an order.  :)  Kids have played the "food to go" game for a long long time on the patio.  It gets passed for one group to the next.  Sometimes they ride up on their bikes and order through the window.  :) Next picture: Sometimes Atley's focus is questionable - ha - and sometimes, like today, she will stay on task for the longest time!!  And I know by now that it can happen at any time, but it still takes me by surprise!  In the next picture she did the entire basket of dinosaurs while sorting by colors!!  Very well done Atley.  The following pictur...

Atley ate half of cheerios and half of banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, whole wheat pita bread, ate avocado, ate olives, no tomato, and bite of cantaloupe. Atley was very thrilled to have someone laughing at her shenanigans and she was making Nora laugh within the first minute of arrival.  (Momma Megan got to witness some of their joyful interactions in the short time she was here!)  First picture: Those two are waving at Momma Megan.  When they were waiting for Megan to drive around the corner Atley was intentionally "bonking" her forehead on the window and Nora was cracking up!!  Haha!  Welcome back Nora. Then Atley was showing Nora her "bruised" elbow.  (I could see nothing that even resembled a bruise!)  Atley said, "I got an owie on here!!"  Nora said, "OW!"  Haha!  Which suited Atley perfectly; that's what she wanted to hear!! Here are a couple more pictures from Atley's morning.  She was doin...

Atley ate most of brown rice and some raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of salmon serving, ate whole wheat dinner roll, one green bean, and ate mangoes.  Here is a piece of lunch time conversation: Atley; "We have a back room."  Or maybe it was; "We have a bath room."  Or maybe; "We have a vacuum."  Avilene and I were guessing, but with limited success.  Finally, Avi looked at Atley's mouth full of dinner roll and said, "Chew Atley!"  Haha! First picture:  Atley, Avi, and Svea are the only ones here today and Atley read lots of books before the Nelson girls arrived.  The books in the picture are the preschool books, but the books in the daycare room were still laying in front of the bookrack; we didn't get those put away yesterday.  Atley looked at them and said, "Linnea got the books out."  Haha! Except she hasn't been here since Wednesday.  :) Here are some pictures from this morning's activities.  T...

Atley ate most of toasted whole wheat english muffin and a bite of oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, a large serving of whole wheat elbow noodles covered with a large serving of applesauce, and she had several bites of peas. Every morning this week Atley has gone to the window and talks about the "frost" on the ground.  And she has said the same thing every morning: "Do you have frosty on your grass?"  So each morning I start singing "Frosty the Snowman" and she says, "Noooooo!" She had her nose wiped LOTS of times this morning.  One of the times I said, "Atley! You actually blew  hard  that time!"  Atley said, "Avi! I actually blew that time!!"  Haha! First picture: Nora has been in Vermont with Mommy and Daddy this week seeing the beautiful fall colors, visiting farms, teddy bear factory, orchards and having fun.  I showed the kids this picture on Tuesday and told them Nora was eating a " cide...

Atley ate two servings of french toast and two servings of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of hearty paleo stew with meat, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet potatoes, green beans, and carrots.  She also ate saltines and most of tropical fruit. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon during outside play time.  Atley found a place to relax!  Haha!!  She'd go running with Avi for awhile and then she'd come back to this spot; probably three or four times.  Silly Atley.  I think Avi was out of sight under the climber when I took this picture.  That was her resting spot. I posted a picture yesterday of Atley making piles of toys and she still likes to clear shelves and seemingly just scatter toys around.  Yet, if one of the babies loses a sock or shoe, if I leave my phone, or computer, or notes, Atley is ALWAYS the one to find it!  She finds stuff for me outside as well! Chief mess-maker and the first to notice som...

Atley ate half of her waffle and ate grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, ate corn, and no baked cinnamon apples. I took the first two pictures when it was just Atley and Linnea here.  (It was almost 9:00 before Avi and Svea arrived.)  Avi was doing "motor" sounds with the tractors and Linnea was chuckling about that.  :)  Then Atley was just "stock piling" toys; making large piles on the chair and elsewhere.  Notice she has the side pocket on the chair stuffed full too!! Lauralea was with us for an hour this morning and we played with a "marble maze" that we found at a garage sale.  Marbles are "choke-able" for babies, plus we wanted a way to contain them so I bought this cheap little blow-up pool!  Ha!  Avi and Atley both kept asking; "Are we gonna put water in it?"  "Can we have some water?"  Haha!  No.  However, when they came out to play with it Avi still started to take off ...

Atley had bites of kix cereal and ate mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate turkey burger, whole wheat hamburger bun, avocado, no tomato, and ate cherries. We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and the kids were busy all morning.  (This includes rotating the preschool trays and books as well.)  Avi and Svea were getting flu shots so they came after breakfast and Nora is on vacation all week so here are a couple pictures of Atley keeping herself busy until Avi arrived.  In the second picture most of those stacking pieces I made out of dowels (different diameters and different lengths) and then smoothed them up. Next picture -  Avi said, "Will you wash me Atley?"  Haha!  "Sure!"  Atley was cooperative, but I'm not sure what purpose the tomato served in the cleaning process!  :)  Notice that Linnea is intently watching the procedure!  Picture number four - They were each wearing a mask - Avi had one of ...

Atley ate oatmeal and bites of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, and hashbowns.  She ate whole wheat dinner roll and ate a large serving of apricots.  Here's a picture of breakfast meal time.  The conversation this morning was so hilarious.  First Avi, then Nora; "Hi Atley!"  "Hi Atley!" "Hi." "Hi." At least 4 or 5 times just like they'd not seen each other recently!  (They'd been playing for the last 45 minutes!)  Then Atley kept saying, "I like pineapple."  Uhhh..it's baked apple.  "I like baked apple."....2 minutes later...."I like pineapple."  Uhhh..it's baked apple.  "I like baked apple.".....2minutes later...."I like pineapple."  You get the idea!  :)  The funniest part - she only had maybe two bites of those baked apples that she "liked" so much!!  :) Next picture: Atley did puzz...
