Atley's Journal

Atley ate half of blueberry waffle and ate grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate chicken, ate whole wheat tortillas, corn, and three servings of apple slices.   We were looking out the window and as usual Atley impressed me with her observational skills. She misses nothing!! A "Mountain Lion" County van went by and looked to me like it had some kind of "lift kit" installed. It was definitely sitting higher than normal. Atley asked, "Why is that car bumped up at the wheel?" What a cute way to word it!! This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon and I just wanted you to see the large assortment of supplies they have set out on the table!! And they are working on tiny little pieces of Art. Ha. Next picture: Atley with the binoculars. She said, "I can see Miles really close!" Haha. Atley ate bites of kix cereal and some fruit cocktail for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground turkey, toasted whole wheat hamburger bun, small serving of avocados, bite of tomatoes and ate cherries. At the lunch table Svea asked Atley; "What does your home look like!?!" Atley said, "You'll find out what you come to my house." Atley did really well being the "big girl" this morning around the younger kids. It was different for her, but I think she actually liked it! We'll see how the rest of the week goes!! Ha. Only once did she mention Avi and Nora; "I miss Avi and Nora."  As soon as she got here she started working on some Art and I liked this one she showed me. If you assumed it's a "bear," which is what I assumed, you're incorrect! Haha. It's a "Mickey Mouse Alien." Atley ate oatmeal and baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and two servings of fruit cocktail.   The 3 oldest girls were at the table doing some Art. There was a clean piece of paper which had some paint or marker on the very top of it. And now no one will use it as they all consider it "ruined!!" Haha. Who did this? The denial was 100%. Nora said, "Gary, we all didn't do this!" That hit my funny bone. No of course not, it probably came out of the package that way. Breakfast: French toast and plums. Avi said, "Not eating!" Ha. Ok, then Atley and Nora both followed suit! "Not eating!" Ha. I bet you guys will eat a big lunch and they did. Atley ate pulled pork, whole wheat toast, two servings of peas, and two servings of cantaloupe. First picture; Atley and Nora were building this wall around a cozy area where they put pillows, doll blankets, and stuffed animals. I liked how they'd put a little block on the top of every pillar. Second picture; And they even allowed the boys to come into their shelter out of the cold and Nora awarded Miles one of the Doll blankets!! Haha.  Next picture: Atley is using some netting that held some cantaloupes I got from Costco. She shoved several small stuffed animals into it and said, "Who wants a bag of teddies!?!" Haha. Atley ate whole wheat toast and three servings of mangoes for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of ground beef with marinara sauce on top of a large serving of whole wheat spaghetti noodles - then two more large servings of spaghetti noodles, ate two servings of cauliflower, and three servings of fruit salad. Lunch conversation was primarily Avi giving Atley some tips on how to trick the parents. Haha. Here's a sample: "So ask your Dad to pick you up and he'll probably say yes." (Haha) "Then go ask your Mom to pick you up. And they'll both come to pick you up!!" And other variations on this theme.  Atley got Avi's water bottle for Avi to have a drink at Avi's request. Silence. I said, "Tell Atley thank you." Avi said, "Thank you" and Atley said, "Welcome." Avi said, "Why do you say welcome and not you're welcome?" Atley ate two servings of blueberry bagel and three servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice soaked in black raspberry juice, ate broccoli, and ate black raspberries.   Apparently Atley has been having issues with Alexa lately!! Early this morning Atley said, "Alexa is still mad at me!" That made me laugh hard. Ok, it's time to reboot Alexa and that changed her attitude. :) First picture: Nora is not here today, but Atley still played at the Doll House.
