Atley's Journal

Atley chose not to eat breakfast: "Don't wanna eat; I had rice krispies at home."  (She was basically mimicking what Avi was saying, except Avi's was waffles.)   For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat pita bread, bite of avocado, bite of cucumbers, and ate pears. First thing this morning Atley was talking about "Mary Kate."  Then she said, "Nana has a youngest named Mary Kay."  So after trying to distinguish between "Kate and Kay" I asked Atley; "Do you have an Aunt Mary Kay?"  Atley said, "Yes. IT live in Indiana."  Haha.  I said, "Well I've never met IT , but maybe someday I will."  (So is this accurate!?) First picture: Atley was playing with a camera from the Preschool Room taking pictures of dogs from the stuffed animal set in this toy exchange.  Now that's a little doggie.  :) Next picture: Nora and Miles are not here today because they have some more Grandparents in town for a few day...

Atley ate cream of wheat cereal and dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, brown rice, broccoli, and ate pineapple. First two pictures; Atley and Nora having their usual fun time together first thing in the morning just after arrival.  First with the doll house and in the second picture Nora is examining Atley's dress.  Atley has her arms raised and it looks like Nora is about to frisk her.  :)  Actually Nora was in the process of counting the stripes on Atley's shirt. Next picture: Atley, Svea, and Nora were doing lots of stickers while Avi was busy coloring a picture. Last picture: So, since Nora has been back at Little Treasures, let's just say that time in front of this mirror has increased exponentially.  Haha.  They are listening and dancing to some music.  Svea is on the couch watching them; Svea's head is just in front of Nora's forehead.  :)  And Miles is in the picture too!!

Atley ate three servings of waffles and two servings of fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of turkey loaf, no whole wheat tortillas, half of sweet potatoes, and ate cherries. First picture: Atley and Nora under the legos table again just like yesterday.  I like this picture because it illustrates the size difference (it's actually exaggerating it here) of these two girls.  Atley's legs hanging out and Nora's toes barely showing.  :)  Following picture: Nora has frequently been dancing in front of the mirror lately and this morning Atley joined her.  You can obviously see Nora's hand in the air and her hair is also in mid-motion.  They were dancing while Alexa was playing "Puppy Dog."  At least I think that's what I heard.  All the songs they request are new to me.  My Children's Play List is a bit outdated!!  Haha!! Atley ate three servings of French toast and three servings of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of whole 30 chili with meat, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, and tomato sauce.  She ate whole wheat dinner roll and ate tropical fruit.   Alexa was playing the music to "Lion King" and Svea was saying, "Gonna get Simba, gonna get Simba."  Atley and Nora told her it was a hyena and Svea changed it to "honey."  Haha.  "Honey get Simba, Honey get Simba." First picture; This is left over from yesterday afternoon.  The kids were chasing bubbles, but it's hard to get a picture with bubbles in the air!!  Do the bubbles, lay down the container, grab the camera, and bingo the bubbles are all on the ground.  :)  They were having fun using the "noodles" to poke the bubbles.  Next picture: You can see Atley and Nora's feet sticking out from under the legos table. Atley ate two servings of whole wheat English muffin and ate grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pork roast, two servings of whole wheat toast, ate beets, and two servings of applesauce.  So at breakfast the kids were talking about the ones not here;  Linnea and Callahan.  Atley said, "Callahan's owners do not let him go to Gary's!"  Haha!!  I laughed so hard.  I asked, "Who are his owners?"  Atley said, "Maddy and Colin."  Lauralea asked Atley; "Who are your owners?"  Atley said, "Megan and Brad."  :) Classic!! First picture: Atley has one of the cameras and is taking a picture of Nora at the Doll house.  This is an old iPhone that we basically unloaded everything off except for the camera so the kids could have another camera. I got a couple more coloring books to choose from and Nora said, "I want to do the princess."  Atley said, "I want to do the monster truck."  Haha.  Now that is class...

Atley ate whole wheat Chex cereal and two servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of ground beef, ate whole wheat hamburger bun, bites of tomato, ate avocado, and ate mandarin oranges. This first picture is left over from Friday afternoon.  On the Friday before "toy exchange weekend" I frequently start some Daycare laundry.  When I pull the mattress cover off the mattress the kids think that's the coolest thing ever!!  It's like a whole new experience!!  They always start cheering!!  Haha.  They were all playing on it and Atley said, "Oh Good!! Now I can do backflips!!"  Haha.  I didn't realize the mattress cover was all that was holding her back from being successful with backflips!! So this is "New Toy Monday" and Atley put this cat mask on before Momma Megan left AND she wore it for probably about 45 minutes before taking it off.  In the picture below she's showing it to Miles.  He's such a mellow little ...

Atley ate bites of oatmeal and ate dried cranberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate tilapia, two servings of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate green beans, and three servings of applesauce. First picture: Atley and Nora playing a favorite game; especially first thing in the morning when it's only a couple of kids here.  Atley said, "Let's run Nora, let's run!!"  And away they go!!  From the window to the mattress back and forth.  Atley was energized this morning.  Lots of excitement about Linnea coming today.  Linnea plans to be here 7 days in May (IF they can do their planned vacation to the Oregon coast this month.) and 10 days in June before she moves on to Brother Ander's school.
