Atley - 07/16/2021

Atley ate oatmeal and dried cranberries for breakfast. For lunch she ate tilapia, whole wheat elbow noodles smothered with applesauce, and ate a couple of green beans. This morning when Nora and Miles arrived Ryan dropped off the kids and Momma Emily. Emily said he was gonna drive around the block. Atley said, "Where's the block!?!" :)

Yesterday we remembered to check to see if the salmon are running and if the bears are feeding in Katmai National Park in Alaska - my favorite web cam to check on - and sure enough there were LOTS of fish trying to jump up the falls and the bears were feasting. I think the kids love to watch that almost as much as I do!!

We went outside for maybe 45 minutes this morning - the air quality is in the low unhealthy range. I had not been talking to them about air quality, but they obviously were discussing it among themselves. Before we went outside Nora said, "Gary, if you breathe smoke then you have to go to the hospital. And they put a thing on your finger, and then if your heart is not beating, then you have to die." Oh really? Atley said, "Yes, I told her that." Svea said, "If you get smoke in your nose you will die." Geez, you guys really should do a fact check on some of your information. :)

First picture: Atley spotted a deer outside the window and they enjoyed watching it eat in the yard. They commented about it eating the yellow flower off a dandelion weed. Second picture; Atley and Avilene double-team drawing on Nora's paper. 

Next picture: The kids had some roly-poly bugs captured and were playing with them on the parachute. Last picture: Walking the water hose! Atley saw this picture and said it was like walking the balance beam at gymnastics. :)
