Atley ate oatmeal and three servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, tomatoes, green beans, and potatoes. She ate two servings of fruit cocktail, and no whole wheat dinner roll.

This first picture is leftover from yesterday afternoon and the story behind this is pretty cute. Nora asked, "What does the number 100 and the number 2000 look like." So I grabbed a piece of chalk and I said, "I'll show you what they look like." Nora and Atley were impressed. So I did 3 or 4 different numbers and said, "Here, I'll show you how old I am!" And I did the 66. Except the girls were standing on the opposite side; "no I am not 99." :) Then I said, "I'll show you how old Lauralea is!" Atley's response was hilarious: "Oh this is gonna be good because she's older than Gary!!" I roared. "Umm, no, 11 years younger!"

Last picture: Nora and Atley were talking and I'm frequently trying to eavesdrop; sometimes successfully and sometimes not. Here's what I heard this morning; The girls were talking about "Kyle, Jenny, and Owen" and from what I heard I would guess they are related to Nora. Atley said, "When Kyle, Jenny, and Owen were married I was born." Nora said, "OH MY GOSH!! I did not know that!!" LOL!

I only have 3 kids today; the Hansen kids and Atley. Nora went to swim lesson this morning so Atley, Miles, and I went outside. Atley likes the race cars and played with the car ramp for awhile and then went hunting for bugs. She found a roly-poly bug and asked me the coolest question!! Atley asked, "Hey Gary, how do roly-poly babies grow; eggs or Mama has a belly?" I love that! So we asked Siri and found out that Momma roly-poly bugs can have a dozen eggs and the bugs are fully formed when hatched. They are so tiny they are barely visible. How did we survive before instant answers? We had to go find an encyclopedia and look it up! Dang those were some hard hard times. :) Last picture: Helping Gary open bag of paper towels that are individually wrapped. Thank you Atley. Good work.
