Atley - 05/28/2021

Atley ate oatmeal and three servings of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate several bites of hamburger stew with meat, tomatoes, green beans, carrots, potatoes, and broth. She ate most of whole wheat dinner roll, and ate fruit cocktail. 

Well it seemed kinda quiet around here this morning. The Nelson girls went with their Grandparents to the lake and it always changes the dynamics of the group when anyone is gone! Nora and Atley were using erasable markers and doing books with number sequencing, letter sequencing, and matching numbers with objects like you see below. Good work Atley. 

Next picture: Nora and Atley did several different activities this morning and stayed busy. It was fun just watching them work and watching which activities they'd chose. If they are getting restless or bored I'll step up and make a suggestion or guide them into an activity. That wasn't necessary today and it was fun to watch. In the picture below Atley is doing some serious rainbows and Nora is working on a hat. They frequently make observations about each other's work and it's usually encouraging. Usually. :)

Last picture; Atley and Nora were both working on puzzles. They're enjoying the several new challenging puzzles I got. The one below is 48 small pieces and they feel good about completing them. Yesterday Avi said, "I can't remember if this one is Lightning McQueen or Queen Lightning!" Ha.

Atley ate half of cheerios and half of banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, whole wheat pita bread, ate avocado, ate olives, no tomato, and bite of cantaloupe. Atley was very thrilled to have someone laughing at her shenanigans and she was making Nora laugh within the first minute of arrival.  (Momma Megan got to witness some of their joyful interactions in the short time she was here!)  First picture: Those two are waving at Momma Megan.  When they were waiting for Megan to drive around the corner Atley was intentionally "bonking" her forehead on the window and Nora was cracking up!!  Haha!  Welcome back Nora. Atley ate two servings of blueberry bagel and three servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice soaked in black raspberry juice, ate broccoli, and ate black raspberries.   Apparently Atley has been having issues with Alexa lately!! Early this morning Atley said, "Alexa is still mad at me!" That made me laugh hard. Ok, it's time to reboot Alexa and that changed her attitude. :) First picture: Nora is not here today, but Atley still played at the Doll House. Well technically not AT the Doll House, but with Doll House accessories. :) In the second picture she made a "restaurant" with the legos. Atley - 08/25/2021

Atley ate whole wheat toast and three servings of mangoes for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of ground beef with marinara sauce on top of a large serving of whole wheat spaghetti noodles - then two more large servings of spaghetti noodles, ate two servings of cauliflower, and three servings of fruit salad. Lunch conversation was primarily Avi giving Atley some tips on how to trick the parents. Haha. Here's a sample: "So ask your Dad to pick you up and he'll probably say yes." (Haha) "Then go ask your Mom to pick you up. And they'll both come to pick you up!!" And other variations on this theme.  Atley got Avi's water bottle for Avi to have a drink at Avi's request.
