Atley - 04/16/2021

Atley ate oatmeal and dried cranberries for breakfast. For lunch she ate Tilapia, whole wheat elbow noodles, ate one green bean, and ate a large serving of applesauce.  

First picture: So here's what you do when you're waiting for your friends to arrive!! Haha. Watch the sparkles in your bottle. (Personally, I think this is an excellent picture of Atley.) When Nora arrived she was carrying her sparkle bottle from yesterday too. :) Atley and Nora spent the first several minutes hiding and searching for their bottles. 

Here are a couple pictures with Nora from this morning. Avi and Svea spent the night with Grandparents and did not arrive until shortly before Lunch. (It's so interesting how group dynamics change when one or more are gone. I've always found that fascinating.) These two read books in the Preschool Room and it was fun to listen to them discussing what interested them. Atley said, "I want a car like that." Ha. Now that wasn't a surprise. Following picture: Here is a good picture of a friend showing appreciation for something you've done!! Atley said, "I made a cherry." And Nora seemed to be very impressed. :) I love her expression! 

Last picture: Atley with a few "eggs in her hair." Svea was the one who started it this morning and Nora and Atley joined her. So what is Avi drawing that's so interesting? A Christmas Tree, but up in the corner is an interesting addition. A very very small Santa in his sleigh and the reindeer of course. Why so small? "Because they are so far away." Of course. Then my favorite part which she finished after I took the picture. She made little "dots" everywhere around the sleigh. What are those?!? "Those are elves."

Atley ate half of cheerios and half of banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, whole wheat pita bread, ate avocado, ate olives, no tomato, and bite of cantaloupe. Atley was very thrilled to have someone laughing at her shenanigans and she was making Nora laugh within the first minute of arrival.  (Momma Megan got to witness some of their joyful interactions in the short time she was here!)  First picture: Those two are waving at Momma Megan.  When they were waiting for Megan to drive around the corner Atley was intentionally "bonking" her forehead on the window and Nora was cracking up!!  Haha!  Welcome back Nora. Then Atley was showing Nora her "bruised" elbow.  (I could see nothing that even resembled a bruise!)  Atley said, "I got an owie on here!!"  Nora said, "OW!"  Haha!  Which suited Atley perfectly; that's what she wanted to hear!! Atley ate two servings of blueberry bagel and three servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice soaked in black raspberry juice, ate broccoli, and ate black raspberries.   Apparently Atley has been having issues with Alexa lately!! Early this morning Atley said, "Alexa is still mad at me!" That made me laugh hard. Ok, it's time to reboot Alexa and that changed her attitude. :) First picture: Nora is not here today, but Atley still played at the Doll House. Well technically not AT the Doll House, but with Doll House accessories. :) In the second picture she made a "restaurant" with the legos. She has 2 little people facing each other and said they were "having a staring contest!" Haha. She made me laugh hard again! Atley - 08/25/2021

Atley ate whole wheat toast and three servings of mangoes for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of ground beef with marinara sauce on top of a large serving of whole wheat spaghetti noodles - then two more large servings of spaghetti noodles, ate two servings of cauliflower, and three servings of fruit salad. Lunch conversation was primarily Avi giving Atley some tips on how to trick the parents. Haha. Here's a sample: "So ask your Dad to pick you up and he'll probably say yes." (Haha) "Then go ask your Mom to pick you up. And they'll both come to pick you up!!" And other variations on this theme.  Atley got Avi's water bottle for Avi to have a drink at Avi's request. Silence. I said, "Tell Atley thank you." Avi said, "Thank you" and Atley said, "Welcome." Avi said, "Why do you say welcome and not you're welcome?"
