Atley - 02/11/2021
Atley ate two servings of raisin/cinnamon English muffin and ate mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she had half of ground beef, ate whole wheat elbow noodles, peas, and applesauce.
First picture: I took this picture 30 minutes before breakfast. These were two pictures Nora had left over from yesterday and she asked Atley to help her out. Yesterday before Nora left she asked me; "Can you NOT throw it away while I'm gone!?" LOL! I roared. Man these kids make me laugh! Nora knows I utilize the recycle bin after the kids are all gone. :)
Next picture: Today was "Science with Lauralea" for the Preschool kids. We've been doing a "weather" theme lately and today was specifically "freezing." (Miles and Cal got to watch this one.) Perfect weather for this experiment; throw some hot water in the air. We asked the kids first; "Do you think Lauralea can make it snow?!?" Yup, they all think she can work magic; except for Atley. "Noooo!" But Lauralea did it and here's a picture to prove it. Frozen water particles everywhere! I'm glad it was cold enough today for the kids to watch this!
Next picture: The 2nd outside experiment involved blowing bubbles. I like how everyone, including Lauralea, is looking up and watching the bubbles. They would freeze, pop, and crystals would drop. We also used "special bubbles" that didn't freeze. Last picture: This is more of an Art Project, but there is "freezing" involved!! The kids had a choice: Make an "ice castle" or make an "ornament." All did "ice castles," except for Nora did an "ornament." And now they are in the freezer and will probably go home with the kids tomorrow. The kids threaded beads on two pipe cleaners and shaped those when they were done. They added beads, sparkles, and other pretty items to their castles and Nora to her ornament. They also did a 2nd Art Project using Valentine Hearts.
