Atley - 11/12/2020

Atley ate two servings of whole wheat English muffin and ate mandarin oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of ground beef, a large serving of whole wheat elbow noodles covered with a large serving of applesauce, and she ate her peas.    

This first picture is left over from yesterday and the three girls were doing Art, but it was their conversation that had my attention.  Nora noticed we had the stew cooking in an "Insta- pot."  She was the one who started the conversation and soon they were all saying they each had an "INSTANT POT" at home.  Haha.  Avi said, "I think I have one."  Nora said, "I have one."  Atley said, "I have one."  :)

Next picture:  The experiments they did yesterday involved straws. This first one the girls were trying to suck up a dime against the bottom of the straw and hold it enough to get it off the table.  Not easy.  Then we put some water on it and that helped a bit. Standing up made it easier.  Following picture: this one also included food coloring with milk and watching the food coloring move around even though no one was touching the table.  In the picture they actually have 2 straws and the second straw is short.  With the second short straw, no matter how hard you suck you can't get the milk to your mouth.  As long as the second straw isn't in the liquid you're just sucking air.  

Next picture: All the kids in a picture again!  Wow this has been happening regularly.  This is a new fishing game and the big girls were showing the game to the little people.  Avi said she has this game at home and that's probably the answer to Nora's question; "Avi, why do you always win?"  :)  Last picture: The girls were playing "Farmyard Bingo" and then they followed that up by playing "Chutes and Ladders."

Atley ate half of cheerios and half of banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, whole wheat pita bread, ate avocado, ate olives, no tomato, and bite of cantaloupe. Atley was very thrilled to have someone laughing at her shenanigans and she was making Nora laugh within the first minute of arrival.  (Momma Megan got to witness some of their joyful interactions in the short time she was here!)  First picture: Those two are waving at Momma Megan.  When they were waiting for Megan to drive around the corner Atley was intentionally "bonking" her forehead on the window and Nora was cracking up!!  Haha!  Welcome back Nora. Then Atley was showing Nora her "bruised" elbow.  (I could see nothing that even resembled a bruise!)  Atley said, "I got an owie on here!!"  Nora said, "OW!"  Haha!  Which suited Atley perfectly; that's what she wanted to hear!! Atley ate two servings of blueberry bagel and three servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, two servings of brown rice soaked in black raspberry juice, ate broccoli, and ate black raspberries.   Apparently Atley has been having issues with Alexa lately!! Early this morning Atley said, "Alexa is still mad at me!" That made me laugh hard. Ok, it's time to reboot Alexa and that changed her attitude. :) First picture: Nora is not here today, but Atley still played at the Doll House. Well technically not AT the Doll House, but with Doll House accessories. :) In the second picture she made a "restaurant" with the legos. She has 2 little people facing each other and said they were "having a staring contest!" Haha. She made me laugh hard again! Atley ate whole wheat toast and three servings of mangoes for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of ground beef with marinara sauce on top of a large serving of whole wheat spaghetti noodles - then two more large servings of spaghetti noodles, ate two servings of cauliflower, and three servings of fruit salad. Lunch conversation was primarily Avi giving Atley some tips on how to trick the parents. Haha. Here's a sample: "So ask your Dad to pick you up and he'll probably say yes." (Haha) "Then go ask your Mom to pick you up. And they'll both come to pick you up!!" And other variations on this theme.  Atley got Avi's water bottle for Avi to have a drink at Avi's request.
