Atley ate whole wheat English muffin and dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, a large serving of brown rice, ate stir fry vegetables (determined to eat everything so she could get more servings of mandarin oranges), and three servings of mandarin oranges.  Yesterday at snack Atley was talking about her time in the hospital.  She said, "Hey Gary, I spent the night at the hospital with my Momma.  I got the other coronavirus!!"  LOL!!

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  We used to call this "doing bridges" when practicing for wrestling to keep your shoulders from the mat and from getting "pinned."  Future wrestlers right here.  :)  Nora and Atley were the ones doing it and then Svea joined in the background.  So cute.  Svea has herself perfectly pinned!!  :)  Atley said, "That's a really fun trick!!"

I was talking with Momma Emily about the kids "telling the truth."  So I got out a book for us to read today and the name is "I Tell the Truth."  Between 4 and 5 years old they can kind of start to grasp what that might mean, so before we started to read I asked, "What does it mean to Tell the Truth?"  Now "defining" any word is a whole different concept and young children will start to just give examples.  Even as adults sometimes it's much easier to give an example rather than a definition.  So I started with Nora (the youngest of the three oldest girls).  She said, "I don't know."  Atley said, "If the water flows you can clean it up."  HUH, WHAT!?!  Ha!  Initially I thought it was very random!   Avi said, "Not lie."  Now that's pretty good.  So we started reading the book and it's about choices the kids have in school and the first example was about a child plugging the bathroom sink and the water was overflowing and he did finally admit that he had unintentionally plugged the sink.  And that's where Atley's definition came from!!  (We haven't read that book for weeks and weeks!!)  :)

Next picture: Well you can only see Atley, but Nora and Svea are hiding out in their "cave" again and then yelling when Cal tugs on their blankets and pillows.  Atley was helping them get cozy and hidden in their cave.  Last picture; More coloring!!  Atley works hard and it impresses me how she does the detail work very meticulously!!
