Atley - 12/2/2019

Atley ate kix cereal and two servings of mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, whole wheat hamburger bun, bites of tomatoes, most of avocado, and three servings of cherries.

The nicest part of coming back to Little Treasures is all the love and hugs.  :)  It was a wonderful week in Louisiana with my family and the weather was awesome.  As soon as I got back on Saturday I had to clean snow off the sidewalk.  And that's Montana.  :)  Atley was so sweet and cute this morning and very generous with her loves.  So precious.  She asked for me to snuggle with her and we did in the rocking chair.

So Avi and Svea were still in Wyoming last night (on their way home from Denver) and hopefully they will make it to Missoula tonight.  And Callahan was not feeling well so it was just Linnea, Atley, and Miles here today.  First picture:  Atley is checking out the little airplane I got and "Woody" from "Toy Story."  Starting tomorrow I'm hiding the airplane for Atley to look for when she arrives and Woody for Avilene.  (Avi's obsessed with Toy Story!)

Second picture: Atley (Have I mentioned that she's obsessed with airplanes - ha. Actually a very nice obsession!) pointing out an airplane to Linnea.  Following picture; They were building with the legos and working very hard at it.

Last picture: This is a more difficult puzzle I got (one of several) for the Preschool Room.  I think it has around 25 pieces.  Atley worked hard at it and totally stayed on task for 2 puzzles.  She asked for help a few times, but she did lots of it by herself.  When she struggled she said, "It's not working very well."  :)

Atley ate whole wheat bagel and peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger pizza with whole wheat crust, tomato sauce, olives, peppers, mushrooms, and pineapple. This isn't just about Atley, but I think you'll like it.  At the breakfast table when everyone was just about done eating Avilene started whipping her head side-to-side really fast and furious - just being a goof and showing-off!  Nora and Atley were laughing hard of course and started doing the same thing, squealing louder every passing second!  I told Avi, "Hold your head still please."  Hudson never misses an opportunity to add his two cents worth, and he followed with this; "Or your ponytail will fall out!"  haha!  (The fact that Avi didn't have a ponytail was apparently irrelevant!) Atley ate whole wheat English muffin and mandarin oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate two servings of ground beef, two servings of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and applesauce. I'm not exactly sure what brought about the conversation about our "heart," but Atley informed everyone "I know when your heart breaks." Oh really, when is that? "When you're NOT in love." Then after a few moments she added; "When you die." :) Today was Science with Lauralea and the kids were super excited as always. The theme was "our tongue" and "taste buds." Lots of tasting today! As you can see in the first picture we had a partially completed (ha) diagram of the tongue and we briefly told the kids where their taste buds are located. Atley - 9/29/2017

Atley ate malt-o-meal cereal and a bite of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a bite or two of "beef kabobs" (beef, peppers, zucchini, mushrooms), ate whole wheat toast, and pineapple. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon.  Atley was squatted down in the middle of the sidewalk watching school kids walk home.  Avilene saw her squatting there and ran to join her.  Not too much to say about this picture except for the fact I think it's adorable!! In this next picture Hudson was holding a mirror in front of Atley's face and he said, "This is Atley."  Ha!  These are some new mirrors I got; one side magnifies and the other side distorts!  (Hey!  Just trying to start them off with a good self-image! Ha!)
