Atley's Journal

Atley ate half of toasted whole wheat English muffin and ate oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, two servings of whole wheat elbow noodles, peas, and two servings of applesauce. This first note is from yesterday afternoon and Atley spotted an icicle hanging off the garage.  She said, "Is that a wind chime on the garage."  Haha!  I told her what it was and she said, "I wanna eat it! I really do!!"  When Avi's Daddy came he grabbed it (he's MUCH taller than me! haha!!) and split it in half for Avi and Atley.  Thanks Andy!! First picture;  Svea and Linnea were taking "naps" using pillows and doll blankets.  (Linnea is in the picture, she's just under her blanket.)  Atley brought a stuffed animal for each of these two and laid the stuffed animals on their pillows.  Atley lifted Linnea's blanket and set the animal under the blanket.  Second picture:  The majority of this particular legos master piece was done...

Atley ate french toast and strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate whole 30 chili with meat, peppers, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, tomato sauce, cauliflower, and spices.  She also ate two servings of crackers and three servings of tropical fruit. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon and you can see by Atley's face she's having a blast playing with Nora and entertaining Nora.  As I've mention so many times even though Atley and Nora are so opposite in temperament they are the perfect fit as buddies.  Nora's "slap-stick" humor meshes with Atley's love for silliness! I took the next picture first thing this morning when it was just Atley and Linnea here.  They were running and jumping and having fun.  Atley had just come off the top of the igloo and was getting some good bounce going!! Atley ate two servings of waffle and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate two servings of chicken, ate whole wheat tortillas, corn, and two servings of applesauce. Whenever I've misplaced something or lost something and I say, "Where is ......??"  Atley always comes running!  And says, "I'll find it!"  And she usually does!  She's an awesome finder!!  She has a sharp observant eye!  Future Detective or Treasure Hunter!?!  :) First picture: Linnea and Atley were stopping for a water break.  The moment Atley arrived these two were running back and forth across the room over and over.  And that makes a person thirsty!!  It was funny to watch them because Linnea kept taking shortcuts on every lap.  I call it "smart choices."  :) Next two pictures; This was pretty funny to watch!  Linnea had a bandaid on the big toe on her right foot.  She worked and worked to get the bandaid off, but to ...

Atley ate kix cereal and two servings of mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, whole wheat hamburger bun, bites of tomato, ate avocado, and ate cherries.  At breakfast Atley asked Avi, "Do you love your sister?"  And of course the answer was "yes."  Atley said, "I love Svea too."  Well you know what happened next; an argument about who loves Svea more!!  Ha!  They were stretching their arms as wide as they could; "this much, this much, this much!!" Atley ate oatmeal and baked cinnamon apples for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, and tomatoes.  She also ate whole wheat dinner roll and ate a large serving of apricots. Here are some pictures from Atley's morning at Little Treasures.  First picture: Atley and Linnea got on the shelves with blankets and books.  Linnea actually still fits in there pretty good without too much discomfort.  Or at least that's what it looks like.  Atley on the other hand only stayed in there for about 16 seconds and said she was gonna read somewhere else!!  Haha!  That's a good idea Atley!! Atley ate French toast and dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pulled pork, whole wheat toast, peas, and strawberries. Atley ate two servings of whole wheat toast and ate a large serving of mangoes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a small serving of ground beef with marinara sauce on a large serving of whole wheat spaghetti noodles, ate riced cauliflower, and two servings of fruit salad.  During breakfast the conversation went like this;  Atley said, "I had a sucker on the way."  Avi asked, "What was it?"  Atley said, "Red."  Avi said, "NOOOO!!! What flavor?!?"  Atley said, "Tomato."  LOL!!  Now that hit my funny bone. Atley ate whole wheat bagel and grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate shrimp, a large serving of brown rice, most of stir fry vegetables, and ate raspberries. First picture: Atley and Avi were pounding nails in the blocks of wood yesterday afternoon.  They both enjoy doing this and will keep going until their arms get tired.  As I've mentioned before this wood is perfect for this activity - very soft - and they can have lots of success.  (So soft in fact that I can drive a nail with one hit!)  And the hammers are stubby, but very sturdy so that helps too. Also from yesterday afternoon outside the girls were "having a party."  I asked, "What are you guys doing?"  Atley said, "We're having a lemon party."  Avi said, "no, it's a juice party."  Haha!!  Then I called Callahan a "person."  Avilene said, "NO!!  He's a boy!!"  Haha!  Also, I asked Avi about the "snake" outside from yesterday.  Avi sa...

Atley ate two servings of bran cereal and ate raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat pita bread, bite of tomatoes, bite of avocados, and ate pears. We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and like always everyone stayed busy.  Atley immediately said, "Hey! You got new stuff out!!"  In the first two pictures Atley is working on different activities in the preschool room.  Third picture: Atley was twirling with her dress and cape! Check out that ponytail!  Haha!  We also have some cameras out in this toy exchange for the preschool kids and Avi was taking a picture of Atley; "Can I take a picture of your cape?"  Avi was wanting to take it from the back view to get the Superman (Supergirl) Symbol!  So there were more instructions/orders!!  "Now turn around!"  "Now move your ponytail out of the way!!"  And Atley was cooperating - for the most part.  :) This next picture makes me laugh! ...

Atley ate a large serving of cream of wheat cereal and ate most of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of Shepherd's Pie with meat, potatoes, green beans, and carrots.  She ate whole wheat tortillas, and ate her cherries.  As I've mentioned several times frequently I hear questions at meal times like Avi asked today: "Gary, where do cherries come from?"  From cherry trees just like apples come from apple trees.  Avi said, "Just like pears and meatballs!"  Haha!  Yes for pears, but only in our silly books do meatballs grow on trees.  I then asked, "So where do meatballs come from?"  Atley said, "Books."  :) Atley was playing chase with Avi and then said, "I'm tired of running!"  So she sat down and I swear it was for less than 5 seconds and she was up and running!  haha!  That's a quick recovery period! Atley ate two servings of waffle and ate fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a few small bites of baked beef kabobs with meat, zucchini, pineapple, and peppers.  She ate a large serving of brown rice and ate pineapple on the side. Avi and Atley were at the window waving bye to Avi's Daddy Andy and Atley said, "He's driving a new truck!"  That set off an immediate and sharp rebuke from Avi!!  NO HE ISN'T!!  Haha!  (He's actually had it for quite awhile.)  Here's an Atley "funny" from this morning; She tucked her shirt in and said, "I'm gonna put this in so my shirt doesn't get cold."  Haha!
