Atley - 9/19/2019

Atley ate two servings of waffle and ate fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of shepherd's pie with meat, potatoes, green beans, sweet potatoes, and carrots.  She also ate bites of whole wheat tortillas and ate her cherries.

This morning Atley, Linnea and I were talking about "ice cream flavors" and I was asking them their favorites.  Linnea looked at Atley and asked, "Do you want to come to my house and eat gummies?" Hahaha!  It was so cute.  Also along this same theme....Avi was talking about going to a "candy store" and of course that totally interested Atley!!  Haha!!  Atley said, "Can I go with you?"  Avi said, "Yes, as long as you stay with me!"  LOL!!  I roared!  I wonder where Avi heard that!

This first picture is leftover from yesterday afternoon and this was the first time Atley had asked to feed baby Callahan.  So I thought I better get a picture.  However, she asked to do it again this morning too!!  And she did a great job both times!  She stayed focused and right on task until he finished his bottle.  Nice work Atley.  (He is a mellow baby!!)

Here are some pictures from Atley's morning.  Linnea, Atley and I built a house with the blocks before anyone else arrived and they were having fun playing in it.  Second picture; Atley and Avi playing with the car ramp again.  I'm gonna leave that ramp out until they start to get tired of it.  Last picture;  Atley doing some scissor work again.  She also colored and did some taping.

Atley ate whole wheat bagel and peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger pizza with whole wheat crust, tomato sauce, olives, peppers, mushrooms, and pineapple. This isn't just about Atley, but I think you'll like it.  At the breakfast table when everyone was just about done eating Avilene started whipping her head side-to-side really fast and furious - just being a goof and showing-off!  Nora and Atley were laughing hard of course and started doing the same thing, squealing louder every passing second!  I told Avi, "Hold your head still please."  Hudson never misses an opportunity to add his two cents worth, and he followed with this; "Or your ponytail will fall out!"  haha!  (The fact that Avi didn't have a ponytail was apparently irrelevant!) Atley ate whole wheat English muffin and mandarin oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate two servings of ground beef, two servings of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and applesauce. I'm not exactly sure what brought about the conversation about our "heart," but Atley informed everyone "I know when your heart breaks." Oh really, when is that? "When you're NOT in love." Then after a few moments she added; "When you die." :) Today was Science with Lauralea and the kids were super excited as always. The theme was "our tongue" and "taste buds." Lots of tasting today! As you can see in the first picture we had a partially completed (ha) diagram of the tongue and we briefly told the kids where their taste buds are located. Atley - 9/29/2017

Atley ate malt-o-meal cereal and a bite of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a bite or two of "beef kabobs" (beef, peppers, zucchini, mushrooms), ate whole wheat toast, and pineapple. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon.  Atley was squatted down in the middle of the sidewalk watching school kids walk home.  Avilene saw her squatting there and ran to join her.  Not too much to say about this picture except for the fact I think it's adorable!! In this next picture Hudson was holding a mirror in front of Atley's face and he said, "This is Atley."  Ha!  These are some new mirrors I got; one side magnifies and the other side distorts!  (Hey!  Just trying to start them off with a good self-image! Ha!)
