Atley - 4/9/2019

Atley ate two servings of waffle and ate grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortillas, corn, and two servings of baked cinnamon apples.

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  Lauralea was doing some "testing" with the kids for their developmental check list.  It's hard for the others to be silent when it's NOT their turn to answer!  (Good practice for them!)  Shortly after I took this picture Lauralea asked Nora, "When do we go outside?"  Well, Nora knows the answer because she's always talking about going outside "after we wake up from nap."  But it was being asked in a different way - which is part of the testing! Finally Nora just pointed across the table at Atley and said, "I want Atley to know!"  Hahaha!  Translated as; "ask her, not me!"

Next picture: Atley arrived and she and Linnea were at the fence looking at Callahan.  Atley kept doing these "fake laughs" over and over and over and looking at Linnea to see if she was liking it!  Even after Linnea walked off Atley kept doing the laughs!  Ha!  She will be a seasoned class clown by the time she goes to school!!  :)

Last picture; Some times you gotta let them yell and scream for a moment so you can get a picture! Someone has to document the good times!!  Haha!  Nora was NOT happy about this!!  She and Atley were leaning over talking to Gideon and she obviously leaned too far over!  She started screaming and so did Callahan!  (He hadn't started screaming when I took the picture!)

Atley ate whole wheat bagel and peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger pizza with whole wheat crust, tomato sauce, olives, peppers, mushrooms, and pineapple. This isn't just about Atley, but I think you'll like it.  At the breakfast table when everyone was just about done eating Avilene started whipping her head side-to-side really fast and furious - just being a goof and showing-off!  Nora and Atley were laughing hard of course and started doing the same thing, squealing louder every passing second!  I told Avi, "Hold your head still please."  Hudson never misses an opportunity to add his two cents worth, and he followed with this; "Or your ponytail will fall out!"  haha!  (The fact that Avi didn't have a ponytail was apparently irrelevant!) Atley ate whole wheat English muffin and mandarin oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate two servings of ground beef, two servings of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and applesauce. I'm not exactly sure what brought about the conversation about our "heart," but Atley informed everyone "I know when your heart breaks." Oh really, when is that? "When you're NOT in love." Then after a few moments she added; "When you die." :) Today was Science with Lauralea and the kids were super excited as always. The theme was "our tongue" and "taste buds." Lots of tasting today! As you can see in the first picture we had a partially completed (ha) diagram of the tongue and we briefly told the kids where their taste buds are located. Atley - 9/29/2017

Atley ate malt-o-meal cereal and a bite of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a bite or two of "beef kabobs" (beef, peppers, zucchini, mushrooms), ate whole wheat toast, and pineapple. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon.  Atley was squatted down in the middle of the sidewalk watching school kids walk home.  Avilene saw her squatting there and ran to join her.  Not too much to say about this picture except for the fact I think it's adorable!! In this next picture Hudson was holding a mirror in front of Atley's face and he said, "This is Atley."  Ha!  These are some new mirrors I got; one side magnifies and the other side distorts!  (Hey!  Just trying to start them off with a good self-image! Ha!) There were several robins in the yard when I took these last two pictures.  The robin in the first picture hopped down to the ground and Hudson said, "He fell off!"  Haha!  Robins are one of the more "calm...
