Atley - 3/6/2019

Atley ate whole wheat toast and no mangoes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of ground beef with pasta sauce, bites of whole wheat spaghetti noodles, half of riced cauliflower, and half of fruit salad.

First picture: This one is actually left over from yesterday afternoon.  These two goofballs were being so silly.  They'd go up to the wall, smack it with their hands, and then fall straight over backwards.  Nora was being a wee bit more conservative on the backwards fall, but I got a pretty good picture of what Atley was doing.  And there was LOTS of laughing and giggling accompanying this behavior!!

Next picture; well the day starts and the daily routines start!!  "Get in the chair Linnea!"  And the daily reminders start: "Ask Linnea if she wants to ride in the chair."  :)  Then Atley asked Linnea; "Do you want some toys Linnea?"  Linnea nodded her head in the affirmative!  A big head nod!

Last two pictures: Well flashlights and headlamps were the big hits of the morning!  Linnea was enjoying her's right along with Atley and Nora.  I didn't think she'd be able to push the on/off button on the flashlight, but she did it immediately and easily.  I got 4 headlamps, 4 flashlights, and 2 other small items at Harbor Freight for under $15.  Pretty cheap toys for everyone.  And they came with batteries!  :)

Atley ate whole wheat bagel and peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger pizza with whole wheat crust, tomato sauce, olives, peppers, mushrooms, and pineapple. This isn't just about Atley, but I think you'll like it.  At the breakfast table when everyone was just about done eating Avilene started whipping her head side-to-side really fast and furious - just being a goof and showing-off!  Nora and Atley were laughing hard of course and started doing the same thing, squealing louder every passing second!  I told Avi, "Hold your head still please."  Hudson never misses an opportunity to add his two cents worth, and he followed with this; "Or your ponytail will fall out!"  haha!  (The fact that Avi didn't have a ponytail was apparently irrelevant!) Atley ate whole wheat English muffin and mandarin oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate two servings of ground beef, two servings of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and applesauce. I'm not exactly sure what brought about the conversation about our "heart," but Atley informed everyone "I know when your heart breaks." Oh really, when is that? "When you're NOT in love." Then after a few moments she added; "When you die." :) Today was Science with Lauralea and the kids were super excited as always. The theme was "our tongue" and "taste buds." Lots of tasting today! As you can see in the first picture we had a partially completed (ha) diagram of the tongue and we briefly told the kids where their taste buds are located. Atley - 9/29/2017

Atley ate malt-o-meal cereal and a bite of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a bite or two of "beef kabobs" (beef, peppers, zucchini, mushrooms), ate whole wheat toast, and pineapple. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon.  Atley was squatted down in the middle of the sidewalk watching school kids walk home.  Avilene saw her squatting there and ran to join her.  Not too much to say about this picture except for the fact I think it's adorable!! In this next picture Hudson was holding a mirror in front of Atley's face and he said, "This is Atley."  Ha!  These are some new mirrors I got; one side magnifies and the other side distorts!  (Hey!  Just trying to start them off with a good self-image! Ha!) There were several robins in the yard when I took these last two pictures.  The robin in the first picture hopped down to the ground and Hudson said, "He fell off!"  Haha!  Robins are one of the more "calm...
