Atley - 3/4/2019

Atley ate bran cereal and raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, half of whole wheat pita bread, no cucumber, no peppers, bite of avocado, and ate pears.

Well this is a big day for Atley at Little Treasures!!  First poop in the toilet here and I'm so proud of you Atley!  She came out and yelled to Linnea (she was the only other child here); "I went poop in the potty Linnea!!"  Haha!  I said to Linnea, "Say good job Atley."  Linnea shortened it substantially; "Atley."  Ha! That's good enough!  Atley is so proud of herself and we're all proud of her too!  It's a big day!

First picture; After Atley arrived Linnea got in the chair (Atley yelled, "GET IN!"  Uhh...you can ask and do it nicely.)  and Atley was spinning her.  Linnea was kind of singing, "Rock-a-bye-Baby" at the start of the ride.  I basically posted this picture so you could see what Atley is wearing; warm hat, mittens, but no socks!  Ha!  Well it was only -12 degrees here when I got up!  :)

Second picture:  This was a few seconds after Nora arrived and they were waiting at the window to wave at Momma Emily.  Atley figured it was a good time to start being goofy and make Nora laugh! So what did she do!?!  (This is where you can make a guess!!  Ha!)  Why "head bonking" on the window of course!!  Nothing funnier than that!!  At least Atley has a smidgen of padding with her hat still on!!  And Nora thought it was hilarious so Atley was once again very successful!!  :)

Well it was a fun morning and along with several bathroom visits the kids did some activities!!  Last picture: Here's Nora, Avi, and Atley (still wearing the hat, but no mittens) doing some gluing.  (Notice how close Nora's right elbow is to the glue.)  :)

Atley ate whole wheat bagel and peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger pizza with whole wheat crust, tomato sauce, olives, peppers, mushrooms, and pineapple. This isn't just about Atley, but I think you'll like it.  At the breakfast table when everyone was just about done eating Avilene started whipping her head side-to-side really fast and furious - just being a goof and showing-off!  Nora and Atley were laughing hard of course and started doing the same thing, squealing louder every passing second!  I told Avi, "Hold your head still please."  Hudson never misses an opportunity to add his two cents worth, and he followed with this; "Or your ponytail will fall out!"  haha!  (The fact that Avi didn't have a ponytail was apparently irrelevant!) Atley ate whole wheat English muffin and mandarin oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate two servings of ground beef, two servings of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and applesauce. I'm not exactly sure what brought about the conversation about our "heart," but Atley informed everyone "I know when your heart breaks." Oh really, when is that? "When you're NOT in love." Then after a few moments she added; "When you die." :) Today was Science with Lauralea and the kids were super excited as always. The theme was "our tongue" and "taste buds." Lots of tasting today! As you can see in the first picture we had a partially completed (ha) diagram of the tongue and we briefly told the kids where their taste buds are located. Atley - 9/29/2017

Atley ate malt-o-meal cereal and a bite of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a bite or two of "beef kabobs" (beef, peppers, zucchini, mushrooms), ate whole wheat toast, and pineapple. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon.  Atley was squatted down in the middle of the sidewalk watching school kids walk home.  Avilene saw her squatting there and ran to join her.  Not too much to say about this picture except for the fact I think it's adorable!! In this next picture Hudson was holding a mirror in front of Atley's face and he said, "This is Atley."  Ha!  These are some new mirrors I got; one side magnifies and the other side distorts!  (Hey!  Just trying to start them off with a good self-image! Ha!) There were several robins in the yard when I took these last two pictures.  The robin in the first picture hopped down to the ground and Hudson said, "He fell off!"  Haha!  Robins are one of the more "calm...
