Atley - 3/1/2019

Atley ate a large serving of whole grain cream of wheat cereal and ate most of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of baked beef kabobs with meat, zucchini, pineapple, and peppers.  She also ate a large serving of brown rice and ate pineapple on the side.

All three girls made trips to the bathroom together again this morning and Nora asked, "Can we clean the floor Gary?!?"  Just like yesterday, and several days before that too!  Avi asked, "Gary, can you get a picture of us!?!"  Well I took one yesterday Avi, and it's in yesterday's Blog!  Avi and Atley took off their hats and were using them for dust mops as they came back down on hall on their knees!!  I'm definitely not discouraging this routine!!

First picture: I took this shortly after Atley arrived.  These two play together very nicely every morning which is nice because they're the only kids here for up to 45 minutes daily.  In the first picture they were in the middle of some kind of negotiation involving a couple of stuffed birds!  (Ha! fake ones!)  Second picture; Atley is pushing the chair around and around and I like how Linnea appears to be totally absorbed in her book!  By the way Momma Megan, Atley left her hat on all morning.

Last picture:  I have no idea what this huddle was about, but I thought it was very cute!!  Look how close together Avi and Atley have their heads.  I'm pretty sure they were scheming some kind of revolt against management at Little Treasures.  :)  Either that or they were involved in some kind of religious ceremony!

Atley ate whole wheat bagel and peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger pizza with whole wheat crust, tomato sauce, olives, peppers, mushrooms, and pineapple. This isn't just about Atley, but I think you'll like it.  At the breakfast table when everyone was just about done eating Avilene started whipping her head side-to-side really fast and furious - just being a goof and showing-off!  Nora and Atley were laughing hard of course and started doing the same thing, squealing louder every passing second!  I told Avi, "Hold your head still please."  Hudson never misses an opportunity to add his two cents worth, and he followed with this; "Or your ponytail will fall out!"  haha!  (The fact that Avi didn't have a ponytail was apparently irrelevant!) Atley ate whole wheat English muffin and mandarin oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate two servings of ground beef, two servings of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and applesauce. I'm not exactly sure what brought about the conversation about our "heart," but Atley informed everyone "I know when your heart breaks." Oh really, when is that? "When you're NOT in love." Then after a few moments she added; "When you die." :) Today was Science with Lauralea and the kids were super excited as always. The theme was "our tongue" and "taste buds." Lots of tasting today! As you can see in the first picture we had a partially completed (ha) diagram of the tongue and we briefly told the kids where their taste buds are located. Atley - 9/29/2017

Atley ate malt-o-meal cereal and a bite of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a bite or two of "beef kabobs" (beef, peppers, zucchini, mushrooms), ate whole wheat toast, and pineapple. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon.  Atley was squatted down in the middle of the sidewalk watching school kids walk home.  Avilene saw her squatting there and ran to join her.  Not too much to say about this picture except for the fact I think it's adorable!! In this next picture Hudson was holding a mirror in front of Atley's face and he said, "This is Atley."  Ha!  These are some new mirrors I got; one side magnifies and the other side distorts!  (Hey!  Just trying to start them off with a good self-image! Ha!)
