Atley - 8/30/2018
Atley ate whole wheat bagel and peaches for breakfast. For lunch she ate sausage and hamburger pizza with whole wheat pizza crust, tomato sauce, pineapple, olives, and peppers. She also ate pineapple on the side. (She'll eat pineapple with this meal, but in a fruit salad or fruit cocktail she always picks out her pineapple and sets it aside!?!) :)
Here's a paragraph from Nora's Blog today that I think you'll enjoy!! I had to remind Nora several times today that "Gary is in charge." "I'm in charge here, not you." "I got this; you can just play and enjoy yourself." "I'll do the bossing part of this job!!" Haha! One of the more comical times: At breakfast Atley said she was "done" and Nora started yelling at her: "Food...mouth!! Still eating!!" Well of course Atley wasn't going to let that opportunity to tease Nora go to waste! She repeated, "I done Gary!!" Nora's intensity increased about 10 degrees! "NO!! Food mouth!! Still eating!!" It's ok Nora. I've got this and I'm in charge. "Finish eating what's in your mouth Atley and I'll wipe you up so you can play." :) And that's normal life here at Little Treasures.
One of the "ground rules" we've set for the preschool room is "one activity (including books) at a time." They already have that nailed. Atley will scatter books everywhere in the Play room, but not in the preschool room. Here's a picture of her getting her day started at the little book rack as Mommy Megan was leaving.
Two more pictures: Both of the activities in the next two pictures involve balance - like a balance scale. These were items we found at Garage Sales looking for kid's stuff!! Atley especially liked the first one which is a rocking boat and there are at least 7 little wooden creations to set on it and stack them higher on each other. She was having success manipulating the pieces. I like how she's holding up her hand after putting the last piece on. Last picture - filling the bowls on each side and trying to keep it level.
