Atley - 8/29/2018
Atley ate whole wheat toast and grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate a bite or two of chicken with stir fry vegetables, ate brown rice, and cherries.
I mentioned this to Daddy Brad yesterday, but Atley did it again this morning at least 5 times!! She was reading a book in the "preschool" room titled, "There was an old woman who swallowed a shell." (There are lots of different versions of this story, but the first was a "fly" she'd swallowed.) Anyhow, Atley knows the tune to that, but she was reading it and singing "Over the river and through the woods to grandma's house we go." It was so cute and every time she looked at the "shell" book she'd sing the same song. (Probably because I was laughing each time!!)
Linnea has been gone since last Thursday so it was nice to see her today and she's taking lots of steps now!! Atley noticed Linnea walking and said, "She's going big Gary!!" That was so cute and made me laugh. You probably meant she's getting big Atley, but I like your phrasing better!! :)
They had fun doing some activity trays this morning and here's a picture of one tray that Atley was having success with. There are different colored "popsicle" sticks and different colored small clothes pins. Atley worked at opening the clothes pin with one hand and connecting a corresponding colored stick. Last picture: Apparently the work on the trays is exhausting! Lets' take a nap!! :)
