Atley - 8/2/2018

Atley ate whole wheat bagel and two servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger and sausage pizza with whole wheat pizza crust, tomato sauce, olives, pineapple, and peppers.  She also ate bites of pineapple on the side.  When we started eating lunch Hudson announced; "pizza movie night!"  Ha!

This first picture is from yesterday afternoon.  We'd been outside for quite awhile and the kids were all hot and tired so we came in where it is cool and read some books.  I like how everyone is focused on the book.  :)  Even Svea.  Linnea had already left so she missed out on this Story Time.  Oh! I guess I should mention it was Lauralea who walked in and took the picture.  Ha!

I took this first picture today because I thought Atley's hair looked exceptionally pretty this morning! Nice job Momma Megan!  Second picture: Linnea's Daddy Eric and I were talking about the kids pounding on the window when they are "waving" goodbye to the Parents.  The window survived another beating this morning!!  Haha!  The old window had well over 20 years of kids pounding on it before the seal broke and needed replaced.  This one is off to a good start of one year!  Linnea (new to the sport of window pounding is obviously on the left) is waving to Ryan this morning.  (Nora's Daddy.)  Avi saw that and said, "She's waving Gary, she's waving!!"  Atley, on the right of the picture, is a seasoned pro at thumping on that window!!

More pictures - The kids had fun building with the blocks, dot painting at Art Time, and we also went outside this morning.

This isn't just about Atley, but I think you'll like it.  At the breakfast table when everyone was just about done eating Avilene started whipping her head side-to-side really fast and furious - just being a goof and showing-off!  Nora and Atley were laughing hard of course and started doing the same thing, squealing louder every passing second!  I told Avi, "Hold your head still please."  Hudson never misses an opportunity to add his two cents worth, and he followed with this; "Or your ponytail will fall out!"  haha!  (The fact that Avi didn't have a ponytail was apparently irrelevant!) Atley ate whole wheat English muffin and mandarin oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate two servings of ground beef, two servings of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and applesauce. I'm not exactly sure what brought about the conversation about our "heart," but Atley informed everyone "I know when your heart breaks." Oh really, when is that? "When you're NOT in love." Then after a few moments she added; "When you die." :) Today was Science with Lauralea and the kids were super excited as always. The theme was "our tongue" and "taste buds." Lots of tasting today! As you can see in the first picture we had a partially completed (ha) diagram of the tongue and we briefly told the kids where their taste buds are located. Atley - 9/29/2017

Atley ate malt-o-meal cereal and a bite of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a bite or two of "beef kabobs" (beef, peppers, zucchini, mushrooms), ate whole wheat toast, and pineapple. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon.  Atley was squatted down in the middle of the sidewalk watching school kids walk home.  Avilene saw her squatting there and ran to join her.  Not too much to say about this picture except for the fact I think it's adorable!! In this next picture Hudson was holding a mirror in front of Atley's face and he said, "This is Atley."  Ha!  These are some new mirrors I got; one side magnifies and the other side distorts!  (Hey!  Just trying to start them off with a good self-image! Ha!) There were several robins in the yard when I took these last two pictures.  The robin in the first picture hopped down to the ground and Hudson said, "He fell off!"  Haha!  Robins are one of the more "calm...
