Atley - 7/18/2018
Atley ate whole wheat toast and bites of mangoes (this mango wasn't very ripe and no one was real impressed) for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of ground beef with marinara sauce on whole wheat spaghetti noodles, ate squash, and half of fruit salad.
Atley said, "Hey Gary, my nose is running!" Then (almost immediately afterwards) Avi said, "Hey Gary! I wanna see if the salmon is running!!" LOL! That made me laugh. So I wiped Atley's nose and we checked out explore.org. The kids are loving that site because frequently (including this morning) the fish are struggling so hard to jump up the falls and there were 10 - 20 fish in the air at the same time. We also counted 13 bears having a feast today.
Here are a couple of pictures from this morning. First; Atley was playing with these little mirrors. One side makes things appear close and the other side makes objects appear far away. Atley had other ideas how to play with them. :) Second picture; Hudson and Avilene (she's hidden in the igloo) like to barricade themselves inside the igloo and call it their "tent." They play that game every day. Atley doesn't want to go inside it, she just likes to grab the pillows and blankets and cause a ruckus!! Ha!
I took this next picture of Atley and Nora doing puzzles right after breakfast. Nora was sitting on a chair visiting with me at the kitchen entrance because she was having a hard time engaging in play after breakfast. (It's a transition thing. She'd arrived at Daycare as we were starting to eat breakfast.) Anyhow, Atley came out to do puzzles and sweetly said yes when Nora wanted to join her. And that's all it took for Nora to have a change of attitude. Last picture; Momma Megan dropped off some diapers for Atley and also gave Atley her sunglasses. How do you like the way Atley put her sunglasses on!?! The funny part was the fact that they stayed on her head that way just fine! Nora spotted Minnie Mouse on the sunglasses and she's saying, "mouse, mouse, mouse." :)
