Atley - 3/28/2018
Atley ate two servings of french toast and ate strawberries for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of Paleo stew with meat, broccoli, sweet potatoes, carrots, and green beans. She ate saltines and her tropical fruit. (except the pineapple which she left behind.)
I'm gonna put this in everyone's Blog; The days and weeks go by so fast, but I frequently try to tell everyone how much I love your kids and I love what I do. I have the most awesome families at Little Treasures and I'm super attached to all of you! All of your children have their own strengths and challenges and I count myself blessed to work with them and care for them. Thank you!!
Atley and Hudson were doing puzzles and Atley was singing. I was curious if Hudson could identify the song Atley was singing; I thought she was right on tune so I asked him. He almost immediately said, "Mulberry Bush." :) Yup, that's right.
I talked to Momma Emily about this yesterday, but I'm gonna mention it here too so you guys know what I'm working with. Nora reacts to so many different things and the other kids frequently find it highly amusing! Here are a couple examples from this morning; At the breakfast table Atley started thumping and drumming her drink cup on the table (looking directly at Nora and waiting - she didn't have to wait long) and Nora screams at her. Then later, Atley was taking some stuffed animals to the changing table, one at a time, and depositing them there simply because Nora couldn't reach them and then Nora would let out a piercing scream. Atley grins all over. Atley frequently holds toys high above her head! Nora screams. And it really doesn't matter if it was a toy she was playing with or not. It still gets the desired reaction! So I'm working with both sides; "Be sweet and kind to Nora." "Nora, take a deep breath and count to 10!" Haha! By the way, Lauralea and I've seen this exact same thing played out over and over. The little ones with an intense temperament tend to be very reactionary!!
Here are a couple of pictures from this morning. Nora and Atley were reading their books and Atley was singing loudly, of course. Well Nora reacted to that as well. Shortly after I took this picture she was "scolding" Atley and I think it was the loud volume, or she may have wanted the book Atley was reading. Ha! We colored some coffee filters at Art Time while both babies were asleep!!
