Atley - 3/13/2018
Atley ate no toasted whole wheat english muffin, but she did eat grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of pork chop meat, ate whole wheat toast, nibble or two of roasted vegetables (sweet potatoes, potatoes, and mushrooms), ate applesauce.
Atley was at the gate with Nora when Nora's Daddy Ryan was getting ready to leave. He was facing the opposite direction and I told Nora to say, "Bye Daddy." So Atley immediately said, "Bye Daddy!" Ryan whipped around with his mouth wide open - he couldn't believe what "Nora" had just said. Oh, it was so funny and I was laughing so hard. Thanks for the great laugh Atley!!
We were in the middle of Story Time when the mail came and three new kid's books arrived that I've been waiting for! Yes! By my favorite kid's author too! Well, maybe it's a tie between her and Dr. Seuss. Their styles are totally different so that's good! The kids were almost as excited as me! I guess I've mentioned her name a lot because Hudson totally said her name perfectly - or at least he pronounced it like I do! Haha! He said, "Iza Trapani wrote that book!" Wow! That shocked me! (I know I shouldn't be shocked by anything he says, but I still am!) I now have 13 of her books. (And she's an amazing illustrator as well.) She basically takes the old Nursery Rhymes and expands on them - a lot!
Hudson is reading one of his favorites to Atley and Nora. It's an "I Spy" book and it has an object on one page and you have to find the same object on the opposite page - which is much more full of other objects. In the last picture Hudson was taking Atley's hand and showing her where the object is at. So cute. They really do learn a lot from each other. (Although not usually quite this direct!) You're a good teacher Hudson!
