Atley - 12/4/2017

Atley ate several bites of breakfast; kix cereal and mixed fruit.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, whole wheat bun, no lettuce, tomato, and no cherries.

I'm posting some pictures from Friday afternoon that I think you'll enjoy!  Kenzie loves fixing the little girl's hair and Atley does a great job of sitting for her!  On Thursday Atley sat long enough for Kenzie to fix a cute braid in both of Atley's ponytails.

Kenzie and Riley thought it was SO funny when they were sitting in the chair and Avi and Atley started pushing them around and around.  They said, "Take a picture of the little ones pushing us!!"  Atley and Avi were pushing pretty fast I might add!!  Atley was basically doing it with one hand and hanging on to her book with the other hand.   Then in the following picture Kenzie and Riley were arranging the kids on the chair and Kenzie was taking the pictures.  They were all cooperating amazingly well with the "older" girls.  Well maybe Nora was pondering this thought; "what happened to my exclusive rights to this chair!?"  :)  Atley was totally fine with Hudson sitting on her lap!

We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and Atley was busy, busy, busy all morning checking out everything.  Nora and Atley were having so much fun bouncing, jumping, rolling, and playing on the mattress.  Then I took the last picture when Atley started "hiding" in the igloo and peeking out at Nora.  Both of them were laughing hard.  (Love the sound of children laughing!!)

Atley ate whole wheat bagel and peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate hamburger pizza with whole wheat crust, tomato sauce, olives, peppers, mushrooms, and pineapple. This isn't just about Atley, but I think you'll like it.  At the breakfast table when everyone was just about done eating Avilene started whipping her head side-to-side really fast and furious - just being a goof and showing-off!  Nora and Atley were laughing hard of course and started doing the same thing, squealing louder every passing second!  I told Avi, "Hold your head still please."  Hudson never misses an opportunity to add his two cents worth, and he followed with this; "Or your ponytail will fall out!"  haha!  (The fact that Avi didn't have a ponytail was apparently irrelevant!) Atley ate whole wheat English muffin and mandarin oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate two servings of ground beef, two servings of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and applesauce. I'm not exactly sure what brought about the conversation about our "heart," but Atley informed everyone "I know when your heart breaks." Oh really, when is that? "When you're NOT in love." Then after a few moments she added; "When you die." :) Today was Science with Lauralea and the kids were super excited as always. The theme was "our tongue" and "taste buds." Lots of tasting today! As you can see in the first picture we had a partially completed (ha) diagram of the tongue and we briefly told the kids where their taste buds are located. Atley - 9/29/2017

Atley ate malt-o-meal cereal and a bite of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a bite or two of "beef kabobs" (beef, peppers, zucchini, mushrooms), ate whole wheat toast, and pineapple. This first picture is from yesterday afternoon.  Atley was squatted down in the middle of the sidewalk watching school kids walk home.  Avilene saw her squatting there and ran to join her.  Not too much to say about this picture except for the fact I think it's adorable!! In this next picture Hudson was holding a mirror in front of Atley's face and he said, "This is Atley."  Ha!  These are some new mirrors I got; one side magnifies and the other side distorts!  (Hey!  Just trying to start them off with a good self-image! Ha!)
