Atley - 8/7/2017

Atley ate lots of bran cereal and most of her raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of chicken from chicken salad, ate pita bread, olives, no peppers, cucumbers, or tomatoes, and ate pears.

She was working at saying words this morning and that was so much fun to hear.  She said "hi" to Lauralea and she cooperated when I asked her to say "Gary" for Lauralea to hear.  Haha!  So cute.  Atley was in a great mood like usual and had a fun morning.  She is not inclined to sit on the couch for Story Time, but she likes to read the books LOUD - especially during Story Time.!!  Ha!  I took a picture of her reading and I love this first picture.  This age group really doesn't care much if the book is upside down or whatever; especially when they have a temperament like Atley's!!  I always say they get "twice the mileage" out of a book because they can turn it right-side-up and you have a completely different book!!  :)

This next picture is Atley giving Nora a gentle pat on the back.  The last week or two Nora is turning into a little monkey and maybe Atley was congratulating her on her fist time on the blue balance beam!!  Later Atley was sitting by Nora when Nora was sucking her thumb.  Atley was studying that very closely and then pulled Nora's thumb out to have a look at it!  It was like; "What are you eating?!?"  Nora didn't care and again I attribute that to Atley's mild temperament and personality.  Nora is the opposite and very intense, but she didn't feel threatened by Atley at all - even slightly amused by Atley examining her thumb!!  Later, Nora was crawling across the room with a doll blanket over her head!  (That's one of her favorite activities!)  Atley was walking beside her and lifted the blanket off to see what was going on!!  We played outside too and chased bubbles.  Atley played with the lawnmowers and on the climbers.
