Atley - 6/6/2017
Atley ate whole wheat bagel and grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate shrimp, brown rice, maybe a bite or two of stir fry vegetables, and ate mixed berries.
This note is primarily for Momma and Daddy: Atley had a bit harder time coming in this morning and settling into her day. I just want you to know this is totally normal and Lauralea and I have seen this many times over the years. The "newness or uniqueness" has probably wore off and now we'll just settle into a routine. Atley will adjust just fine and she is already adjusting. She's an awesome kid and I'm glad she's part of Little Treasures. She cried for a few minutes after Mom left and then she actually snuggled on my lap for 10 minutes. Wow! Kind of a hard time for her, but it was awesome!! Haha! I also made a point of giving her lots of extra hugs this morning.
Here's a couple pictures of Atley enjoying her morning. In the first picture she was initially trying to stick her foot in the school bus! And in the 2nd picture she was waving at the mailman first and then waving at the rest of the world!! :)
Megan requested a birthday card for Nana and we actually had time and it worked out! (I wasn't too sure we were going to have time after Hudson had a HUGE poopy mess and I gave him a bath in the utility sink!!) Megan, the only hesitation I had is that I was wondering about setting a precedent for all the Grandmas and relatives in the program. Especially when you start counting grandparents, great-grandparents, step-grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles, neighbors, co-workers, moms, and dads. Haha! Just kidding!! It was fun and the kids enjoyed it. Atley was more inclined to color on the table and suck on the marker cap!! :) We also added some stickers and Atley just stuck her stickers on the table. Ha!! Then she wasn't happy about me wanting her to stand behind the banner for the picture, but at least I got a picture before she departed! I like how Avi is sitting on the step peeking through at the camera!
