Atley ate toasted rye bread and grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate baked chicken, whole grain tortilla bites, bite or two of roasted cabbage. and bites of baked apples with cinnamon.  Atley did the exact same thing again today when I started cleaning up Nora after lunch - started singing, "night night, night night."  So cute.

Alley's love of music is pretty apparent isn't it?  So cute and I love it.  I turned on the music and the first song; "If you're happy and you know it clap your hands..."  Her expression was so cute.  She was clapping and loving it.  Every child expert in the country has written about all the benefits of music for young children and you can read endless opinions, but the benefit music provides for language development is my favorite benefit for this age group.  And that's fascinating to watch with her.  :)

In this first picture Nora crawled over to where Atley was playing and stood up to observe; "Hey, what are you doing over here?"  :)  Notice the slippers Nora is wearing.  Well a few minutes later Atley was tugging on Nora's slippers trying to get them off.  Nora didn't care.  She just sat there grinning as she continued to suck her thumb.  Ha!

I thought this was cute how Atley just sprawled out on the floor resting her head on the step - just chillin!  She's actually watching Nora play on the mattress.  "That looks like it takes too much energy.  I'll just lay here!"  I'm pretty sure that's NOT what she's thinking, but it's fun to put adult captions on the pictures. I do know from experience (observation and listening to their early words) that they rarely think what we think they're thinking!  Haha!  How many times can you use the word "think" in one sentence?!
