Atley's Journal

Atley ate English muffin and dried plums for breakfast. For lunch she ate two servings of chicken, three servings of brown rice, ate broccoli, and two servings of mandarin oranges. At lunch time Atley said, "Well I hope you didn't burn the rice again." Hahaha. Hey! It only happened once; give me a break!! (Of course it was recent; the last time we had rice. Ha!) Right after lunch as I was cleaning up all 4 girls were playing at or near the Doll House. All of a sudden Svea burst into intense howling and I was sure she'd been hurt. What the heck happened? Svea said, "Atley didn't open my present." :) I'm so sorry, but I'm also glad it wasn't too serious. :) First picture: Hey check out who has 2 matches laying on the table - and she's the only one with a match so far!! Atley ate cheerios and banana serving for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground beef, two servings of toasted pita bread, ate olives, ate avocado, and three servings of strawberries.    First picture; We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and Nora was busy with the new Doll House accessories. She'd invited Atley to join her and this picture depicts how that usually goes. Ha. Atley said, "sure" and lasted about 1.75 minutes before getting bored with that and moving on. She actually didn't play with anything; just watched Nora. :) Second picture: Atley was just sitting in the corner reading a book and then Svea joined her. Soon Nora came over too. You obviously made it look inviting Atley!!  Next picture: We add more and different supplies to the Art Cabinet every Toy exchange too; as well as rotating the trays and activity bins for the Preschool. The 4 girls are busy creating some of their own designs using markers, pens, glue, stickers and tracing pattern...

I burned the brown rice so we went with corn chex cereal along with the raisins. Atley ate corn chex and raisins. For lunch she ate two servings of salmon, whole wheat dinner roll, ate cauliflower, and two servings of mangoes.   I told Daddy Brad about this, but I want to post it as well. Yesterday afternoon Tu Tu (Callahan's Grandma) picked him up and the kids were at the window waving bye to them. Atley said, "I can't believe they're driving a Jeep!!" Huh!?...What!? And it certainly was a new Jeep!! How did you know that!? It looked like a new Jeep Wrangler which has that distinctive Jeep appearance.  I was able to retrieve a couple of pictures from yesterday, so I'm posting one here. This was the experiment when we "pushed" the race car across the table without touching it. Each of the kids got a chance to do it as well. Atley ate two servings of cinnamon raisin English muffin and ate mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground beef, two servings of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and two servings of applesauce.    Well my photos are in the computer, but I can't access them to this program. Which of course messes with my Blogging plan for today and actually every day!! I use the pictures to tell the stories and it's much easier to explain something the kids have been doing. So I'll be working on solving that issue tonight. Science with Lauralea: We began by talking about our experiments with seeds from last week. You've seen the seeds sprouting in the sealed baggies with water-soaked paper towels. We compared those bags with one bag we put in a dark closet. The seeds in the closet with no light actually did start to sprout, but it's not very healthy looking (very pale instead of green) and very spindly.  Our theme for today was Magnets and we had at least 6 differe...

Atley ate French toast and ate two servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of Hearty Paleo Stew with meat, cauliflower, broccoli, sweet potatoes, green beans, tomatoes, and carrots. She ate two servings of saltines and three servings of tropical fruit. (Mangoes and Pineapple.)  This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon when the kids were having fun playing outside in the sun. Everyone except Miles is on the airplane. Atley ate three servings of blueberry waffle and ate grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate corn, and baked cinnamon apples.  First picture: Atley was the only one here when she was arranging ALL the accessories into just one doll house. "Hey Gary! Come look at the Doll House!" Once she got them all out, then she was done and moving on to something different. Ha.  Next picture; I had to make a quick trip to the tire shop this morning - before breakfast - and Lauralea covered for me while I was gone. They were reading books when I got back so I took a picture of them "counting penguins." Atley ate kix cereal and fruit cocktail for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground turkey, toasted whole wheat sandwich thins, no avocado, ate tomatoes, and cherries.   Just moments after waving bye to Momma at the window a rabbit ran by under the window. Ha. We both happened to see it, but it was moving pretty fast. First picture: Atley went to the Art Table and said she was drawing a "picture of herself with butterfly wings." Second picture; Yup, easter may be over, but we can still hide eggs. Avi is watching Atley find the eggs she hid. The Hansen family are in South Dakota and will be back at Little Treasures on Wednesday. So the "match-ups" playing together were a bit different this morning. Svea and Atley do not often play by themselves, but they were having fun doing that while Avi and Cal were playing in the Daycare Room.
