Atley ate whole wheat toast and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of pork roast with carrots, potatoes, and sweet potatoes.  She ate whole grain tortilla and most of fruit salad. Nora was angry about something and Atley (my little routine girl) went and got Nora a doll blanket even before I said my usual to Nora; "Get a doll blanket and go to your quiet spot."  When Atley came back with a blanket Nora acted insulted.  :)  And yelled louder.  I took this first picture this morning when some of the other kids decided to join her and cover with a blanket.  Nora is at the top right, Hudson is beside her, and Atley is at the bottom of the picture.  Silly kids. Nora, Atley, and Avi were all lining up these little cars like you see in the next picture and lining up some legos toys.  We see this frequently with this age group and it's totally normal.  It's just a way of exploring, organizing, and manipulating ...

Atley ate bite of toasted whole wheat english muffin and two servings of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate her chicken with stir fry vegetables, a large serving of rice, and no oranges. This morning I was getting on Nora's case for doing so much screaming!  (mad screaming!)  "You're being too loud and it hurts our ears!!"  Atley started saying, "no whining, no whining."  Haha!  I thought that was funny and it made me laugh.  (I'm sure she's probably heard me say that - and she totally used it in context!) These first two pictures were taken yesterday afternoon.  The kids were having fun playing with these Toys - whatever they're called.  (Some kind of magnetic drawing boards.)  In the 2nd picture Atley and Nora were having lots of fun.  Nora is in the igloo and Atley kept hanging the blanket over the entrance and peeking in.  Nora was content to just sit in there for a long time. They were both having lots of fu...

Atley ate cheerios and banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, whole wheat pita bread, bites of lettuce, tomatoes, and olives.  She ate half of her avocado and no watermelon.  She knows the tune that we sing when washing her hands for meals and she started singing it herself this morning.  "Scrubba, dubba dubba dubba wash my germs away.....woot woot woot"  (I add some silliness to it and she loves it.) Atley and Hudson asked to go do puzzles first thing.  She has been doing very well with the whole puzzle time - getting to leave the room and do puzzles outside the gate. Hudson and Atley were pushing Nora in the swivel/rocker chair and then falling down - which is always a grand time for everyone with lots of laughter.  :)  Hudson said, "We fall down together!"  Then during Story Time Hudson asked if we could read the "new song book" together.  The first 2 songs in the book are "Baa Baa Black Sheep" and "Twinkle Twinkl...

Atley ate brown rice and raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate baked salmon, dinner roll, no green beans, and no mangoes. A couple minutes after Momma Megan left I said, "Oh!  We forgot to wave at Momma!"  Except I should not have said it aloud!  Atley started squealing and went running to the window.  Sorry Atley! Luckily there was a neighbor walking a dog and she was immediately distracted with that and apparently forgot why she went running to the window.  :) In this first picture Atley and Nora were rocking the chair back-n-forth.  Of course Atley was doing it quite vigorously and Nora was giggling hard trying to keep up.  In the 2nd picture - After Hudson arrived he was playing 'hide and  peek'  with Atley and Nora.  He had just been peeking over the top at them.  You can see they are still both looking up expecting him to be there.  I'm obviously always taking these pictures from a taller angle and Lauralea s...

Atley ate toasted whole wheat english muffin and bites of oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, bites of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and applesauce. I'm putting this first picture in all the Blogs because I think it's hilarious and I like how I caught the moment when she threw the dress-up shirt in the air.  This is picture-proof of who the enthusiastic, energetic, wild child, noisy girl, life of the party is!  Although I think that fact is already pretty clear to all who've had the privilege of meeting Atley.  :)  I love what Daddy Ryan said yesterday when Atley met Nora at the door.  "I wish someone would welcome me like that!"  Haha!  Hey Ryan, you could hire someone for that position to be the greeter at the office.  :)  Like a Walmart greeter on steroids! I love how much Atley is talking now and I'm understand lots of her words.  This is such a fun time in their development!!  Language and l...

Atley ate half of her french toast and a couple bites of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of paleo stew with ground beef, carrots, green beans, cauliflower, and broccoli.  She ate saltines and tropical fruit. This first picture is Atley enjoying the "sidewalk" they (primarily Avi and Atley) were building.  Later, Atley was following Avi's lead and hopping across the "sidewalk" like a bunny rabbit.  She was working very hard at maintaining her balance, doing short bunny hops, and having good success at it.  They also played on the mattress of course and did lots of jumping, rolling, and laughing.  Most things with Atley involve laughter.  My kind of girl!!  :) No matter how many books I read during the Story Times (once in the morning and again in the late afternoon) they still read lots more books on their own.  So wonderful!!  When I took this picture of Atley she was singing at high volume and I think I recogn...

Atley ate half of her waffle and all of her grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate two servings of baked chicken, ate whole grain tortilla, corn, and maybe a taste of baked cinnamon apples. I frequently go sit in the chair while Atley waves "bye" to Momma in the mornings.  Today (for the first time) Atley pointed at the chair and said, "sit chair" when she went to the window.  Haha!  That was pretty cute.  Our little Miss Routine Girl.  I Love her. Atley and Nora were playing in the igloo and Avi joined them as well.  One or two of them would stay in the igloo and the other one would peek inside.  (Like Atley is doing in the picture.)  We also did some dot painting and Atley had fun with that too. Probably 30 minutes after breakfast Hudson decided it was time to clean up the toys.  He said they needed to clean up because they had to go to soccer.  Ha!  So he and Avi worked real hard to get it all cleaned up.  I w...
